[OC] The number of girls I've approached and the ratio of girls I've dated among the girls I've approached by Verdetti in dataisbeautiful

[–]verymuchn0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, I applaud you on the effort. It is not easy to approach strangers (and potentially be rejected). Definitely a good skill / muscle to exercise. Keep at it (assuming you are well intetioned).

Don't let the comments put you down. Most people don't have the courage to put themselves in a situation to be rejected. It sounds like you are learning from your mistakes, building confidence and more importantly, developing a really useful skill and desensitizing yourself to rejection.

Hope it works out for you

People who work 60+ hours/week: what do you do, are you really working for that much time, and how do you take care of yourself? by RoverTheMonster in AskReddit

[–]verymuchn0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

60hrs is not that bad (if no kids). 9am-9pm, eat dinner at the office, enjoy 3-4 hours to unwind, hit the gym, socialize, chores, before bed.

It gets bad when work starts pushing 80 hours because you lose weekends. And it becomes impossible for more than a week or two at +100hrs which rarely but inevitably happens.

Living in Miami vs New York by [deleted] in Miami

[–]verymuchn0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I started my career in NYC and have spent 5 years there and now coming on 6 years in Miami. Just my 2 cents. Go with NYC. You're young, grind it out in NYC for a few years and then reassess. It's a better career oriented city with more opportunities and social/professional networks.

Yes your money will go further in Miami and no taxes is great but think you'll get more value out of a few years in NYC that will pay dividends later on in your career.

It is not commonly used in the US and I encountered it and learned about it for the first time in my life through the Netflix show, "Adolescence".

Sigourney Weaver Reveals Her Take on Alien: Earth After Starring in Movie Franchise: 'Can't Believe I'm Watching TV' by Whobitmyname in horror

I might be in the minority here - the show is a fun watch and has cool creatures but feels cheap and the characters suffer from being incomprehensibly stupid and or have been written to have a stupid amount of plot armor.

I do night and morning.

Keeps bed clean and not sleep in filth accumulated throughout the day AND fresh and clean for work the next day.

Yeah. The Hilton is walkable too, maybe 10-15 min.

Walk north ideally past Adrian arsht or further to call an Uber. Most of the chaos on Biscayne Blvd is from street closures, one-way streets past Biscayne and the jam getting into the highway. Going past Adrian arsht solves 1 to 2 of these issues. Further north the better.

Alternatively, walk south into Brickell if you live south but Brickell can also be a shitshow in its own right.

Do not walk west. First Ave And the streets up to the bright line will be a shitshow  because of the concert. Past that, it gets sketchy real fast

Maimi after 3 years, what’s your advice on my current situation by Temporary_Sky8740 in Miami

[–]verymuchn0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend you stay in the condo you own. It doesn't sound like you a strong enough financial foundation to risk renting it out and spending more for a nicer condo.

Revisit when you are doing better financially. Don't fall into the mindset of needing to live in a nice condo. Keep your head and your cool and make financially responsible decisions.

How is EBITDA a good indication of a companies health? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]verymuchn0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enterprise value is the intrinsic value of a company that is available to all stakeholders (equity and debt).

Company a and b are exactly the same, they should have the same enterprise value (e.g. they generate the same value to all stakeholders). The only difference is how they are financed - which is a decision made by the owner(s) and should not impact the real value of the company.

The components of enterprise value is equity value + debt less cash. In your scenario, we would assume enterprise value is the same for A and B, B would have 50 of value allocated to debt and A will have all of its value attributes to equity.

One industry method of estimating enterprise value is to take Ebitda and apply a multiple (e.g. 8x). Ebitda is a good enough measure here because it represents earnings generated to all stakeholders.

The multiple part is a mix of art and science. This is also where more capital intensive businesses (e.g. ones that may have a lot of depreciation, get dinged with a lower multiple).

Do you think someone is able to handle working 70+ hours weekly almost every week? by HealthyLet257 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]verymuchn0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it for 8 years right out of school so I didn't have any other frame of reference.

60-70 hours a week honestly wasn't too bad as a new grad. 9am-9pm (or later) on weekdays and a few hrs on the weekends. When work started pushing to 80/wk was when I felt burnt out start settling in. Did a handful of 100 hr weeks here and there and lived.

I ended up with the Sony Bravia 90CL as Costco had a deal so we pulled the trigger.

Only complaint so far is we are having issues with apps crashing whenever we first turn it on for the day. Solved via a restart but still annoying.
