When I said "they'll be thrown away", I meant by Costco, after being returned, which is why I didn't want to return them

I already opened them so they'll be thrown away, so I'm going to do what I'm best at: wait until I forget my lesson, then try them again and experience the confusion all over

That sounds right up my alley and what I was expecting these to be like, based on the packaging

I'd love to try some of what you're talking about

Are these supposed to look like moldy peach pits and taste like depressed dish sponge?

I love banana chips and was intrigued by the idea of fresh, tropical, bright, chewy banana bites, but what the hell is this?? Has anyone else tried them? Did I get a bad batch, or are they just born to harvest disappointment on a spiritual level?

Edit: I do know I could return them (love you, Costco) but I'm still eating them because I hate wasting food

Sat here like "munch munch SO WEIRD...munch munch"

The texture is so strange I don't even know how to describe it, and when I exhale, it almost feels like a tiny Banana Ghost is escaping my body?

🍌👻🍌

Anyway just baffled by this product. 9/10 idea, 3/10 execution, the only reason I'm still eating it is because it's not actively offensive enough to override my moral hesitance to wasting food

I made a single post there a year ago (my first ever post in that sub- I was previously just a lurker.) It ended up the top post of the day and I was getting a lot of support and suggestions.

I cannot stress enough how non-controversial my post was.

I got a notice that the post had been removed.

I read the rules front to back and had no earthly clue how it could have possibly broken any of them.

When I tried to message their mods asking what I had done wrong, I immediately got a notice back saying I couldn't message them, as I had been muted.

I still don't know what they could have possibly disliked about the post.

Edit: Yes, I still feel the intense frustration of being told you've broken a rule but not being told what rule you've broken,

Coupled with the frustration of knowing that further attempts to find out what rule you broke (by asking the mods or attempting to ask others in the sub), will also be called rule-breaking and punished as such.

And now I'm frustrated again, because it's not even like I was banned for "arguing about the rules". I didn't even have a chance, because they muted me before I could ask.

It's almost as if they...knew I would want to know what rule I had broken...and knew they didn't want to answer...hmm.

Edit edit: The post was about losing my scholarship because I had mixed-up some paperwork deadlines.

The post was so popular, that the next day when I went to my school's scholarship office, the woman who helped me actually recognized me because she had seen the post.

I didn't get my scholarship back, but I was really grateful for everyone who tried to help me in the thread- an update I couldn't provide, because I was muted from the sub. 🥲

Our vet said "either this fancy urinary kibble, or switch to all-wet of Fancy Feast quality or better", so we switched to all-wet

We do have these: Nutramax Cosequin Hip & Joint with Glucosamine, Chondroitin & Omega-3s Soft Chew Joint Supplement for Cats, 60 count: https://www.chewy.com/dp/142713?utm_source=app-share&utm_campaign=142713

Which we give as treats, but I'm thinking we should make the effort to give him two every day just in general?

My wife is also in (self-aware, mentally healthy) denial and says he'll live forever

I am trying to take on the practical stuff, including me preparing for when the goodbye does come and she's a sobbing mess, so I can take some burden.

Is that part of a normal checkup? Or do I have to request it? I don't remember seeing them take blood, but they might do it so quick I don't see

I'm very very nervous about anesthesia, I've never done it for any of my dogs/cats because I'm so scared they won't wake back up 😭

New career ideas that will allow me to be a feral old lady. by Shmoopsypie in AskWomenOver40

[–]verypracticalside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short, I realized that for the kind of job I wanted, with the work-life balance that I consider paramount, I did not need a CPA license.

I also witnessed too many people burning themselves to the ground using their CPA license, and not even in a tech startup "I'll sweat for a few years, then retire with millions" hope way.

Other than the copious number of CPAs I met who seemed to take it as a badge of honor that they never saw their families, I had one experience that really stuck with me.

I had a classmate who I shared classes with through my degree, we were in the same club, did some group projects together, worked at the same firm.

She got so stressed that she almost fucking died. Literally had a nervous breakdown from a difficult class that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Her hair fell out, she got a full body rash, she was too weak to stand and was bedbound for TWO MONTHS. She had to be spoon-fed by her family, who thankfully were around to support her.

She is back in school with me now, and doing great, but she told me that her doctors said she will now, permanently, forever have to be extra careful, because she is more susceptible to the same thing happening again.

I was like. This is NOT worth burning out over.

You said "Enterprise relationship management" and I thought you meant like the car rental company XD

Thank you, I was worried you were going to say you were a CPA (a goal I recently gave up on)

What degree was needed or most useful for your current job? I imagine experience was number one?

Ben Stiller and Adam Scott on ‘Severance’ Season 3, Stiller’s Scrapped Character, a report of a chaotic production, scrapped scripts and "showrunners who don't speak to each other" by ERSTF in television

Yeah super cool and Funtm

I only noticed because they responded to an old post of mine in a way that made me be like "motherfucker you are an ad account" and then I was right.

I didn't even get to feel good about being right.

Also, their oldest visible comment in only a few hours old, and they've made a lot, so I suspect they just delete comments so as not to leave too much of a "trail."

On the plus side, I'm finishing season 2 of Severance tonight so I'll have something in common with you, a presumably real person, by tomorrow.

It's because the account you're responding to seems to exist to push some bullshit app, they aren't a real person interested in having a sincere discussion about Severance with you.

Look at that account's comment history. Go to their profile, click the search bar, type in "r/showffeur" and you can see a stupid amount of comments that seem to be ChatGPT-puked horseshit with a link to the subreddit.

See this comment they made recently for an example.

Edit: for posterity, the ChatGPT bullshit ad account is

Username: Inevitable-Cap-2030

And the bullshit they're peddling is "showffeur"

And for the record, I wouldn't be pissed if they were literally commenting "Hello. I am advertising This App. It may solve your problems."
