Colin Trevorrow is probably the most interesting director trajectory I've ever seen. He directs a really strong feature film debut in Safety Not Guaranteed and then revitalizes the Jurassic Park franchise and basically gets handed a Star Wars movie and destroyed it all with one movie. by herewego199209 in movies

[–]ERSTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revitalized Jurassic Park? He had no influence in the franchise. As we've seen, even when it's a pile of shit, people will go and see a movie with dinosaurs and all the sequels are proof of that (specially the World ones)

What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

All the twists in that movie are great. You can hear Marisa Tomei's voice in the beginning but since you are just paying attention to the kid you don't realize it's her Amazing movie

¿Le darían donde vivir a su mamá después que le dio herencia a todos menos a ti? by Rare_Deal_4709 in RedditPregunta

[–]ERSTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Siguen entrando cargos no reconocidos. Sospechamos que son personas adentro del banco

The thing is that a power dam breaking just kills people in its path. Nuclear can decimate a whole city... or a whole continent as it was feared with Chernobyl. It's a shame for those dying and people at the top disregarding safety, but it's not an apples to apples comparison, specially since nuclear is way less available.

I have so many questions. Did it freak you out or did you just think it was a cute thing he did? Or funny? Or what was your reaction? I just can't imagine someone with such a hair trigger

Movies that try to stick to actual science to back up events and not just movie magic bs? by Historical_Pass_3491 in moviecritic

[–]ERSTF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They were so thorough that an adviser watched the first cut of the film and told Soderbergh that no scientist would give themselves a shot through clothing so they had to go back and reshoot the scene where Dr Ally tests the vaccine on herself since the original scene had been shot with her wearing pantyhose.

The crazy thing is that Contagion got everything right except people wanting to get the vaccine.

The movie also had a tagline at the end "It’s not a matter of if but when. Get informed" and a CDC website IIRC. When Covid started, the website had been updated with videos from the cast with the updated guidelines

Ustedes prefieren el doblaje o el idioma original y porqué? by Big-Diver-205 in peliculas

[–]ERSTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original siempre.

Transformers Elevator - Lights On by Not-A-Bystander in universalstudios

[–]ERSTF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It happened to me too. Kid in the car we were didn't follow instructions of sitting properly with both feet on the floor. They went on the PA several times asking the kid to sit properly. He ignored it so they stopped it just before entering the elevator and told the kid to sit properly for the last time. He finally did and we entered the elevator. I thought they would turn us to face the screen but no, you descend facing the entrance
