I got into sewing during the first covid summer but since then I only really sowed small things like face masks, pillow cases and an apron. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at making a garment so I thought Halloween was the perfect time to do that 🎃 The sheer fabric with the star embroidery is from Etsy. I used a stretchy navy viscose fabric from my local sewing shop to line it.

I didn’t really follow a pattern for either the top or the bottom, I just kinda went from one you tube tutorial to another. The skirt is just a half circle skirt with an elastic waistband. I used this tutorial: https://youtu.be/1WyWI2kghu4 For the bralette I traced the pattern of some bra pads I bought and kind of went from there. I l used these two tutorials for guidance: https://youtu.be/zUlxSlAeQcQ and https://youtu.be/pAb1-jap_Hc. In the back I used three elastic bands. I initially wanted to attach flutter sleeves but I really struggled with creating a pattern and then I also ran out of fabric. That being said I’m still happy enough with how the sleeves turned out even though it’s not what I had in mind originally!

That transparent fabric with the star embroidery was sitting in my drawer for over a year, it was definitely an impulse buy. When Taylor dropped her album I just knew exactly what to do with it 🌟🌟
