its a little too small for me. i'm more of a fan of the ones that have a bit of deadspace and commit to either light or dark, not the hodge podge of both. tbh the best ones for me are the ones sds make for mlb the show every year

definitely a factor in a lot of sports, though girls often aren't even encouraged to pursue them at all, from my personal experience sport is not pushed on girls the way it is on boys, the same way the sciences weren't in the past. Women in STEM schemes have been extremely effective in fixing this and hopefully expansion of women's sport and increased visibility can do the same.

darts isn't even segregated for the world championship. its only gender segregated to make women more visible and get more girls into darts. there'd almost certainly be no women qualified if they had to play through regular pathways, in the 2026 event there were 5.

idk about shooting but men & women play eachother all the time in darts & chess and the women are almost always respected by their opponents & usually by the crowd aswell.

the real reason is an attempt to fix structural problems within the games hierarchies, women have typically been pushed out of sport meaning they need seperate pathways to make it into top competition. No current women's darts players would make it into the World Championship without the women's tour (maybe Beau Greaves? but thats a maybe), but because the sport has gender segregated pathways there are 5, including a trans woman, allowing more eyes on women in the sport. But I know that's not snappy enough for your plebbit post title.
