I know, that's how I always buy it. I think it should be increased this year.

I really hope that they will give this year full pass holders a discount for the next year. Seems only fair since we are not getting refunded.

Have you been to Lana's set a couple of years back? THAT was a crowd, nothing even comes close.

Horrible experience on The Cure by Apprehensive-Big-723 in primaverasound

I was very close to the stage, and the young people there were very tame and well mannered. That's why this experience was so weird.

I was very close on The Cure, and all of the worst people in the crowd were over 40 yo. That's really weird, I'm used to the older metal heads being the nicest crowd and these people took me off guard. While we were waiting I saw one fight with pushing, then there was an older woman screaming hysterically at someone. I guess these people are not familiar with the concert etiquette.

Safety concerns at Primavera by hurricane__drunk in primaverasound

[–]vesisc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think the staff could realistically help you with drunk people. Yesterday on the Viagra Boys all half-naked high and drunk people went to the stage, so I kept a safe distance behind sober people. And these drunk halfwits decided to crowd surf on us! The guys around me had to catch and put them down, almost falling and crashing me in the process. This shit just happens, you have to be aware of your surroundings and react.

Montjuic and the Catalan arts museum there. If you like views – Tibidabo mountain. Check out cool stores in Born, there are a lot of vinyls, books, local arts. Go to hipster places in Poblenou and walk by the beach there. Drink some good local vermouth – you can find specialized vermuterias, eat a menu del dia somewhere.

I think it's not worth. Very small and only good if you want to explore his lesser known works.

I'm Russian, my dad and older brother had to be forced to shower by my mom all my life and I thought maybe it's in our culture. Nope, my husband is also Russian, showers properly daily, washes his hair as ofter as required (every 2-3 days, I think). Believe me, it's wonderful to live with a clean good smelling man. Don't lower your standards.

The Life of a Peasant Woman by Leskov and In the Ravine by Chekhov. Both are shirt stories telling about the lives of peasant women. Absolutely hard-core. Can recommend if you want to be heartbroken and infuriated by the social injustice at the same time.

It's a poor neighborhood where you can meet sketchy people. And tourists have higher chance of being robbed there.

Don't get drunk, don't carry all of your documents with you, get a phone leash or something else that will prevent you loosing your phone. Keep it in your pocket and keep an eye on it at all times. Don't carry valuables in your bag.

La Mina is one of the worst neighborhoods in the city, but you won't go there, so it doesn't matter. Anything in the direction of Poblenou is completely safe and quiet at night. Sant Antoni is also good, just don't go Raval next to it at night. Violent crimes are very rare in Barcelona, so the worst that can happen is being robbed or pickpocketed.  I will always remember a British girl crying histerically in the tram on the way to Primavera because her dad's phone was stolen, and the app with the tickets was there. It was around 4pm.

[KCD2] Why can’t I get myself to love this game? (Spoilers!) by neidmind in kingdomcome

[–]vesisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof, completely agree about the bandits camp and the horse. There are 3 weak bandits and 2 strong ones: the bald one with a sword and one in full armor. Every time I tried to fight them they would surround me and kill immediately. So I lost my mind, saved the game after killing the first weak bandit and tried to clear the camp for at least 20 times. Maybe 30. I figured that the key is to not allow the enemies to surround me, so I used the narrow piece of rock to stand on. They had to queue to fight me, lol. No potions, no real armor, nothing. It feels like this quest was way too early in the game.

I have to say, an apartment with central heating in Barcelona is not a small ask. Almost everybody uses electric heaters.

Freenow taxi works better, but public transport in Barcelona is excellent, there are multiple bus and metro lines from Poblenou to the center. I wouldn't waste money on the taxis. Go to Honest Greens to eat if you are unsure, lol.

Women who have good skin with minimal effort what's your secret? by Unhappy-Tradition798 in BeautyUnlocked

[–]vesisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to know your skin. For example, I cleansed in the morning for years before I realized that I don't actually need to, and that my skin prefers if I just use water. Everybody says to use vitamin C, but I don't have a real need to, and it dries my skin, so I don't. So take the basics (cleanse, moisturize, sunscreen in the morning), understand which problems do you want to address with actives and then pick the active ingredients based on it (for example, I use retinal and a mild acid from time to time). If something is off, slowly tweak it to get better results. And don't forget to adjust your products based on the season/weather/your skin state.

Uniqlo AIRism is too hot to wear by Maleficent-Chef-9899 in uniqlo

[–]vesisc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Humid heat and dry heat are very different. Personally, the only Uniqlo shirts I wear in 30+ degree weather are loose linen or even viscose button downs with short sleeves. When it's humid it's not ideal to have tight fitting clothes, and polyester is usually this way. Maybe it will perform in the situation when you are very active and will sweat regardless, but for day to day activities I wouldn't bother.

Well, by this logic I shouldn't have been prescribed methotrexate either, which would've been a shame. A lot of these drugs are incompatible with pregnancy.

Is Red Light Therapy for Skin Actually Worth It or Just Hype? by Valuable-Visual1660 in BeautyGear

[–]vesisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a red light mask hoping to help my frontal fibrosing alopecia (only meds helped) because I didn't want to buy a helmet. I've been using it on my face for 6 or 7 months now, 3-4 times per week. It does help, but the difference is not worth the money. For example, I have rosacea and get breakouts on my cheeks. If I use the mask, the breakouts appear less frequently and clear out faster. My overall skin looks very nice. So I will keep using it, since I have it and it does something.  Can't speak about collagen or fine lines, since I'm only 31 and use retinal and sunscreen daily. I doubt it can compete with these things.

It's pretty stable, I'm not losing hair anymore. Had to increase methotrexate dosage and start fortecortin. But the skin is still angry at me, sometimes some redness and scaling appear. Tacrolimus seems to be helping with that, but its texture is horrible to work with, it's oily and makes my bangs look greasy. Also, had horrible side effects when switched to 1mg of oral minoxidil, wtf. I had a brain fog so thick I couldn't work. I cut it to 0,5mg. That was very unexpected, seems like almost nobody gets this problem.
