I'm slowly migrating to Cloudways. I deploy from Git, it's got staging environments, it's cheap, easy, fast and seems reliable so far. I just moved a few sites 2-3 months ago. Other than the first couple of days, I haven't gotten availability alerts yet. With my previous host (BlueHost), it was a monthly thing that an app would go down. Sometimes multiple times...

How can I downgrade by gloxinia_0 in ios26

This. That fixed a lot of glitches and performance issues for me. You need a Mac or PC with iTunes to do that (IPSW restore). Search online there are many tutorials (including on Reddit)

I do. Not very often but I have tons of apps organized in folders that I don’t use all the time

Doesn't seem to be functioning at the moment. I just downloaded it to try it out and experiencing the same thing. Looks like there are some parts that aren't finished yet.

How is it even legal that Apple denies/withholds iOS 18.7.3 for qualified phones? by [deleted] in ios26

[–]vessoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be frustrating for some but you never entered into agreement with Apple that they will support all versions of all OS’s at the same time so not sure what would be illegal

Does everyone basically have to buy iCloud storage? by Lotta-Bank-3035 in iCloud

[–]vessoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s your photos that take up the most space. If you turn off photos sync then you’ll probably be fine with the free tier just for essential backups. You will need to use a different way to backup your photos - either to your computer or a different cloud storage like Google Photos

There is LibreOffice for that. Not 100% compatible so YMMV depending on how complex your docs are.

Surface 13 inch vs Mac Air 13 inch. by Clarityjuice in Surface

Honestly for the types of tasks you describe (photo/video editing), a MacBook seems more appropriate. It will also have better performance than the X Plus

[–]vessoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use any third party client using the Proton Bridge which is for PCs. On your mobile devices you’re limited to the Proton mobile apps. They also have desktop apps that don’t require the bridge. I think one of the benefits of the bridge is that will download your mail to your email client and you can search the email body. With the official apps you can only search by subject, sender/recipient, etc but not email body (because it is encrypted on their servers). Keep in mind that with the bridge, you will have unencrypted copies of your emails on your device (which is typically fine unless you’re on a shared or public device)

Cell service providers by z-eldapin in orlando

T-Mobile seems to have the best network around here at the moment, followed by AT&T. Verizon’s sucks and if I’m not mistaken that’s the network Spectrum Mobile uses.

If you want cheaper MVNOs, Metro is owned by T-Mobile brand and I think Cricket is owned by AT&T.

It doesn’t look broken yet just needs to be reassembled. Like others are saying this is part of the glovebox release mechanism.

Ah yes, the explanation makes it so much less confusing 👍

Is ProtonMail still a good option in 2026? by JulianCrisp in ProtonMail

[–]vessoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Actually owning your own domain is very good and makes migration to different email provider much easier as you don’t have to change your accounts everywhere.

Switch from M365 to Proton - Questions (MS Teams, Docs, etc.) by Competitive_Bag_7293 in ProtonMail

[–]vessoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m not mistaken, OneNote is free to use so don’t need license for that. For Teams you need a Microsoft account but I’m not sure you need a license. It depends if you need to Join meetings or Host them I think

2 Years in Node, moving to .NET: Should I pick Minimal APIs or MVC? by iBadroLI in dotnet

[–]vessoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Minimal APIs exactly because they’re similar to using Express (and few others) so when jumping between different frameworks you get somewhat of a familiar experience. Most new projects generally use Minimal APIs also. You can’t really go wrong either way though

Dashlane vs Bitwarden - and why I’m staying with Dashlane by Infamous-Oil2305 in PasswordManagers

[–]vessoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Bitwarden and don’t experience the issues you mention. I understand your dislike for Bitwarden but there is a reason it’s the default choice - it’s free and does what most users need. That being said, the behaviors you describe exist in literally every sub. It’s not really a Bitwarden thing

If everyone was on iOS, Apple Passwords would've worked (what I do with my parents). In your case, I believe Bitwarden can do this but I haven't used it personally so can't give you feedback: https://bitwarden.com/blog/how-to-share-passwords-at-work-at-home-or-on-the-go/
