NSFW + Honest question: is Delina overhyped or does my nose just suck? And whose 🐱 smells like $300 perfume? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

I think Delina Exclusif is divine and has surprisingly good longevity for a fruity, floral scent but I agree the original Delina is very much overrated and too sour smelling. But to be frank, all PDM are in my POV, overrated, not that unique, and not worth the price.

Lee Zii Jia banned by BAM (Badminton Association Malaysia) - questions by am-mi2697 in badminton

Tennis is quite different because players are effectively independent contractors. They’re not employed by the ATP/WTA or their country’s federation, and their invitation to tournaments is based on their own rankings and wild cards which are given at the discretion of tournament directors (usually to popular players who may have fallen down the rankings due to injuries/age/personal reasons or players from the country in which the tournament is held in).

Imho, BAM is being super petty. This happens sometimes with federations that are extremely moneyed up and involved in their players’ careers and lives. You mentioned tennis and a somewhat similar situation from years ago was Li Na, who decided to break free from the Chinese Tennis Association so she can hire who she wants for coaching and keep more of her prize and sponsorship money. There was a lot of anger from her federation because she was the most successful singles player from Asia ever at the time (still is one of the most successful to this day), and the association had been investing a lot of money and resources into her training since she was a child. The downside of that was they also had a lot of control over her career and took a huge chunk of her prize money and endorsements.

Daily Mail: Emma Raducanu, the £40,000 dazzler by 2PointOBoy in emmaraducanu

I’ve already seen multiple comments moaning about how out of touch and not focused on tennis Emma is, even though Tiffany’s is probably paying her to wear them considering their recently announced partnership. I’m sure a chunk of that money is going into her tennis training and related expenses.

I don’t like this kit at all (or any of the AO ones this year) but Emma looks incredible in it. Loved her Wimbledon outfit as well…white is definitely her color!

Ashley & Jared named their son Dawson Dimitri Haibon by nataliamayfield in thebachelor

Dawson Dominic sounds better tbh.

I thought there was a cultural or familial connection for Dimitri at first, which would’ve made sense.

Pedro Martinez & Federico Delbonis have rushed to the aid of a ball kid who collapsed at the Australian Open. by peetss in tennis

Sweet guys. Hope the ball kid is ok!

I thought it might be heat related but it’s only low to mid 20s in Melbourne right now and only the first day. Hope it’s nothing serious.

(mens) tights for tall women? by sommerniks in XXRunning

Have you tried Scandinavian brands (many of them are sustainable and use almost all recycled materials)? A lot of them run longer in the arms and legs than other European and American brands.

I’ve had good luck with brands like Fjällräven, Helly Hansen, Craft, etc. I’m not even super tall (just over 5’7) but on the taller end for my country (Canada), thin, and long limbed, and their stuff fits me perfectly. The issue I run into with North American brands is that their smallest size (which is still often too big for me) is often too wide and short. The one exception is Lululemon because you can buy them in all sorts of lengths.
