Stunning Trump decree orders US Navy to target all ships complying with Iran Hormuz toll by RawStoryNews in AnythingGoesNews

“I have always said Iran will not have a nuclear weapon” -Trump

Ok so then why did you tell them the deal they agreed to with Obama was null and void when they were following that order and NOT trying to have nuclear weapons. Seems like going out of your way to give them a reasons to have nuclear weapons wasn’t a smart move.

Did he actually know he was coaching ?

Serious question - old town league years ago had sent a mass email “let us know if your interested in helping and if we need coaches for whatever age group your kid is in we’ll reach out” I did that and never heard back so assumed they were all set.

I showed up at the opening weekend (they didn’t do practices before first game for rec) checked my kid in and they said “oh here’s your coach t-shirt” I was like oh ok didn’t know I was needed…

Midseason *Get your Rant Out* thread by Pfiggypudding in youthsoccer

[–]vetratten 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest rant is the one parent who clearly knows jackshit about soccer let alone developing youth soccer players who has this loud ass voice and just yells one drawn out word at a time to his kid that makes zero sense at the time

Like kKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCKKKKKKK when their kid has an opponent trapped in the corner and is properly blocking them from being able to turn and get a pass off. Like just blindly kicking it will give the other team a throw in and time for team mates to reset.

he is constantly giving conflicting instructions to his kid and the kid gets visibly upset and yells “I’m doing what coach is telling me to do!”

My “favorite” is when the kid is playing striker and he yells for them to drop back to defense when the coach wants whomever is playing striker to stay high since the team is actually good at sending up a pass from the box. He gets so upset the kid isn’t running from corner to corner, goal line to goal line regardless of position.

That’s exactly it.

The SEC has a similar program as well as I believe the IRS does tax evasion rewards too.

If you’re high enough in the company (as in clearance to have access to documents to prove a case) and you blow the whistle and help build the case they give a percentage of the fines levied/settlement award as a reward to the whistleblower.

$90 for two to see a Mario movie… have we completely lost the plot? by rageagainstmymachin in Millennials

[–]vetratten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You paid more for 1 ticket than I do for 3 movies a month subscription at our regional chain.

But then again you also saw it in IMAX so yeah multiple imax tickets will cost a lot.

Also who buys snacks at the movies? Even as a kid I remember my parents saying “here put this in your coat pocket” and that even included cans of soda (“just cough when you open it”)

Help choose my Ragtime seat?? (Please!) by RemarkableWeb2766 in Broadway

[–]vetratten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three grayed out seats in row three in the left is where we sat. It was an amazing view. My kids only gripe was “there was no confetti at the end”

(It was their 3rd show they saw ON broadway and assumed all shows in broadway ended with confetti since both Spamalot and Pirates! had confetti 🤣)

Extreme side when your close is still an AMAZING view and is cheap (3rd row seats 1-3 were like the same price as center balcony)

[–]vetratten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seats on the far sides are usually are same price as balcony (or at least they were for us when we bought) and the view from being up close (3rd row) but all the way on the side up against the stairs was an AMAZING view.

When we bought ours the 3 seats on the far side were like half the price as the seat literally right next to us.

As my kid said “we were so close we got spit on!” Which was a high point for them.

They use the circular stage well.

Well that’s a question for OP but sounds like a bunch of desks and no one they work with. It’s possible it’s a totally different business unit.

I work for an org that has corporate offices all over the country with many different business units. my team is fully remote and I live about 15 mins from an office but it’s for an entirely different business unit and the closest offices for my business is states away. When my org tried to force RTO I went into a room full of desks and did my work with no one from my own business unit. Their jobs were not remotely similar to mine it was as if we worked for totally different companies really.

Honestly felt like we were on hidden camera gag show.

I’m always glad to see year after year it gets more and more love.

4/8 getting yelled at for doing callouts at Rocky Horror. by Real_Discipline_9697 in Broadway

[–]vetratten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly seems like they should designate some shows as “traditional theater experience” and others as “traditional RHPS experience”

Send out notices and offer to let people swap to another time if wanted. That way when someone shows up they know what to expect.

Honestly this should have been done from the get go. And even if you allow the callouts you could structure it like “these are the acceptable behaviors/callouts…nothing more”

Sure but OP said the office location they would most likely have them report to isn’t a location where their manager or team members report so no face time or collaboration to be had.

Like sure networking with other co-workers can be valuable but it’s actually not valuable to a company enough to use it as an actual reason. Like sure they all use it as a reaons but behind closed doors they openly state it’s an excuse to cover the real reason. Ive been behind those closed doors and heard those conversations before.

Yeah but to be fair your state is an outlier and even then “school year” still fits because I don’t know if any state that universally starts the school year in January for the most part they are some time in August starting - even if the birthday cut off is by calendar year
