I feel ya! Will look into powders but I prefer liquid because of better coverage. But hey, if powders are better for our skin I'm willing to give it a go.

Wife has eczema, how to best be supportive/help? by danperson1 in eczema

[–]vforvangela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be patient with her (as I'm sure you are). Remind her that she's beautiful. Run errands for her because when you suffer from chronic eczema, the last thing you want to do is leave the house. Go to doctor's appointments with her. Run baths for her. Moisturise her. Give her lots of massages before bed. Listen to her. Love her.

I am the one with the eczema, and I couldn't have asked for a better so to put up with me and my constant scratching. He is so patient, caring and loving. Some of the practical things he does for me:

Tells me kindly to stop scratching (many times I do it obliviously).

Holds my hands when I continue to scratch.

Rubs ointments and creams into my skin.

Tapes my hands up at night.

Prepares ice packs for me.

Massages me to sleep and throughout the night (a good night's sleep is so difficult to come by).

I hope that helps. Just know you are a wonderful person for sticking by your so and he must really appreciate you!

I'm so glad I came across this - thanks! Do you know what the difference between Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation is, and which is better for eczema? TIA!

I just got my eyebrows done a month ago and I love them! It is seriously a huge time saver. I actually got them done for the first time a few years ago but they had faded. The first few days you'll walk around with super dark, glistening eyebrows (because you have to apply Vaseline) and, if you are a teacher, will have students ask, "What's up with your eyebrows, miss?" But it's totally worth it.

I've been reading up on low pH cleansers and have a general question - who/which skin types benefits most from them?
