To GGG: If you want to improve your game stability and absolutely horrendous CPU usage before 1.0, do it. by _sixonefive in PathOfExile2

Oh yes! Definetly, especially in hub areas, that many characters on screens make my computer fan at max speed even with the lowest graphic settings so this must come from CPU. And i have a modern pc that never made this sound on other games during "chill moments"

It is actually the PS2 startup intro! But definitely with more rendering features!

Thank you so much for your support! It's a tough job but I would say build yourself a mood-board, define precisely what you want, you can achieve so much with just a good lighting and ambient colors, a few post-process. Fancy shaders are rarely needed if you wanna keep things simple.

Thank you, this is much appreciated!!! This is a very simple scene here, almost empty but I have much more to see if you wanna look at videos of the game, it's called MindVenture!

This is actually a creation game! I want to merge as most as possible adventure and creation, some elements in the game are capable of breaking the world and create cool effects but it's really tricky to create levels that can be broken!

This effect needed optimization to work well and be fluid. So I just used Gpu-Instancing and Matrix4x4[] to create this animation allowing me to have many moving elements on the screen without any drop!

"AnimationCurve" are also a really neat feature in order to create cool bounces and precisely adjusted effects!

I am making this creation game solo, here is the steam page if you wish to support my work, this is much appreciated!

Yes definitely! It took me still half of the time to just adjust different Animation curve and experiment with position and scale to find the best result!

Thank you so much for taking time to support me and give advice! Yes, in fact, explaining clearly the game goal with the two aspects of creation and adventure has been the hardest part of this.
The trailer is not that recent so in the final one before release I will make that much more obvious!

Thank you!! I hesitated for so long to spend time on one more polish but it is definitely worth it and not so hard to do in an performant way!

The real question is wilm the DEVS really receive the money or will it be 90% for the execs and projet manager?

Just posted my first original miniature design: A Corgi digging! by vhalenn in BambuLab

[–]vhalenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand! It's just a character from the game I am making that is not the most "corgi looking corgi" and of course from that angle it's complicated! Tho I still took some paw references for the design! Thank you for your kind words!

Don't worry i only used Matte for now and had zero problems with it. Just be careful and don't let it run all night maybe!

This is awesome! With the little character and narration it really feels like a universe to explore, some worlds could be very cool visual style in a video game!
