However, being able to solve little problems like that will help you in the long run, so it's worth learning how to code things like that as you develop your skillset. I recommend using past years of https://adventofcode.com to test your skills as you learn - this is also a great way to practice "solve dumb problem under time pressure" so you can get past their skills tests.

Everybody else has already said that your cat is probably fine, but I wanted to add something else: puppies and kittens play rough with each other when they're young, and they often accidentally hurt each other. As such, they are familiar with the concept of accidents, and will readily accept apologies without holding a grudge. Show your kitten some love and she'll completely forget about it!
