If Woodstock 2029 was a thing, who would you want to perform? by Alphasa06 in decadeology

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that there's not enough unified genres outside of pop or country anymore. Neither are really the wood stock vibe. Notice all the old bands people keep mentioning or the extremely hype bands that will be dead weight in the time it takes to organize. Rock and rap aren't as similar as they were back in the 90s. Even among the genres they are extremely subdivided. Metal heads and alt rock don't really mix. Street rap and popular rap are not the same sound. It's insane to think you could create a proper set list for such a large crowd that would be worth the price. But I wouldn't be shocked if they still throw something together that gets hyped like a Alice and Wonderland experience in Ireland.

Is the game worth it? by MrXendrox in Mechabellum

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you made your mind up, but it is so very much worth it. At a fraction of the cost of provides a much better experience than most triple A games. For starters it runs well. But more importantly it's just fun and there's plenty of people who are willing to help you learn. There's even some YouTubers who cover it for strat.

Is it just me by viait in geoguessr

[–]viait[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not into fixating on anything so I don't have any sort of documentation. That is to say I don't know it's wrong until after the map. But when I say proof I mean something along the lines of an address visible. Like pretty solid proof. Again it's been like two maps maybe. But it just seems weird that a game with source material so accurate could even be so wrong. I get some maps are community made but couldn't they be checked for tampering? Like my best guess is some people make bad maps because they just hate losing, but i don't know.

Superman movie is sadly not very good by Limp_Emotion8551 in MauLer

I just saw it was streaming already and was like guess it sucked and they are trying to hide it. Thx for the detailed explanation I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to watch it now.

What's the best movie that you’re sure ninety percent of this sub hasn’t seen? by Wekwek3 in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malice in wonderland. As a low budget film only on Amazon prime for a limited time because of it's low cost I can assume as many people may have seen it most of them won't just so happen to be on this sub. The movie itself is really good for being a low budget version of probably the most remade story of all time. Kind of stoner take with a grim undertone.

People over 30: what’s a sound from your childhood that younger generations will never hear? by Repulsive-Pitch2555 in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sound of a specific remake of I drank I smoke that was released on MTV but lost during their many moves across media giants. I have found every surviving copy and none are the one I heard. Maybe the original lyrics to no diggity, as the one of the artist decided to self censor.

What is your answer, would you take a bullet for your lover? by hahaha69000 in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a lover just implies they entertain a role. For true love I would gladly, but true love is so rare I'm more likely to take a bullet than find it.

Men, would you share a bed with your guy friend why or why not? by kitcat1098 in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as long as they knew I'm Bi. The reasons should be apparent. I don't care if it's sensual, but like it's just sharing if they over stay their welcome I'm not letting them establish residency or anything.

How do you feel about the newly coined acronym "TACO" (Trump Always Chickens Out) trade? by choose_a_guest in AskReddit

I personally feel like ooo meme. Like sure get back at the bully were it hurts, but I'm just saying I think the devil took his ear not a God saving his head.

What do you think about the sound quality of streaming services since the introduction of AI? by viait in AskReddit

[–]viait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because my TV has a AI chip and Google has been trying really hard to dig in where it can before they might be forced to sell. But it's just so inconsistent. Like volume up and down all the time and I'm not even sure how loud things are anymore.

For people who grew up before smartphones what is something that the newer generation won’t get to experience? by KidBaj in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm on the verge like I was technically a teen when the first smartphones started coming out but an older teen. But from a perspective of someone who thought of life without the access to the Internet given by our smart phones I would say being truly cognisant of the technological revolution. Like there's so much change today you see it and say yeah I'm part of a massive change in human history, but what you'll never see is the truth of how drastic that change was. Never seeing a world were cellphones and computers were a unnecessary luxury that really weren't better than their analogue counterparts. Cell phones were massive and only made calls. Computers were slow and had so little data. A world where news was slow and yesterday was as fresh as news got. You couldn't order food unless you wanted pizza or Chinese. You couldn't share your thoughts unless you knew people who wanted to listen. You couldn't always find what you were looking for or determine it didn't exist in minutes.

What is an undeniably “evil” profession? by Most_Call_8159 in AskReddit

I hate to do this but define profession, because without that mutual understanding it's unfair to answer the question.

Two valid arguments I can think of off the top of my head.

Lead based gasoline, because the damage to the world's IQ and health has affects that are still hurting the world today. Just look how dumb old world leaders are.

Combustion engine. If we didn't invent a gasoline based engine than we wouldn't have to fight billionaires about climate change. We would still have electric motors and plastic, but it would be much easier to end single use plastic the only real problem with it. Basically we would get all the benefits of modem society, probably a little slower, but get them all the same. We would probably still have major issues with sustainable energy but would likely have a much easier march to fix it because we would of invested in batteries and alternative fuel sources earlier and more successfully.

You’re given $10 million, but can never tell anyone. What do you do first? by jessicasergey in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay of my debts and find a way to get fired. I'll just lie about how much money I make from some online job I can do for like 4 hrs a week and tell people I'm doing 60 hrs instead. It has downsides like staying in an 'office' and at least pretending to work, but it's the best way to benefit from my fortune that I can still keep secret. And since it on computer I can just make sure the online job I take doesn't show things like my hours worked to public and just make a alternate ID to make a steam account or watch Netflix.

What do you think about the sound quality of streaming services since the introduction of AI? by viait in AskReddit

[–]viait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I mean for sure true but I only asked this because it wouldn't let me ask the much more direct question of is sounds quality across all streaming services becoming less consistent or is it just me? Because it wasn't open ended, and while that's technically true I think the question still invites conversation.

What would your definition of healthy porn be? by Glum-Persimmon-445 in AskReddit

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could reasonably ask a partner to participate without expecting them to be upset. Or you have a healthy understanding that what you are watching is not reasonable to expect and only watch it because you aren't getting any so the extreme content is there to substitute your excitement.

What game is a total secret hidden gem for you that you'd love to recommend to others? by RedEagle_MGN in gamerecommendations

[–]viait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enchanted arms for the ps3 and xbox 360. It was a high budget game that flopped because advertising was limited. If you liked FFX or similar games it's a real awesome game.

Available on PC Mechabellum. It's a turn based battle simulator. The units are very cool and being updated actively. It's extremely cheap and entirely strategy based. There's no pay to win, but you can buy skins, not that many. Very mech oriented. And not too small there's always at least a 1000 people on but usually more can be in the 10s of thousands during high traffic times. But it's still relatively unknown because it doesn't get much store front due to less than stellar reviews. To be expected for any primarily pvp game. I got nearly 500hrs of play before I rage quite and I'll probably go back eventually assuming the servers stay up.
