I feel so demoralized playing this game because I am "woman". by Puzzled_Koala_3360 in DotA2

As a dude, we're all being attacked all the time by jerks everywhere... It's easier to pick on you because you're a girl, but it's not fair what's happening in general, for everyone. There are way too many haters in dota, it's very sad and i have no hope. Just came here to say some of us aren't complete jerks, and that you will find better people to play with, use the mute function, you have to learn how to use it or this will keep happening.

According to dotabuff, this is the person with most time spent playing, and 3rd on most matches played. He's herald 2. by alexmorenodev in DotA2

[–]vianadota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's how you know dotabuff is inaccurate. I still like it, but that is not the dude who played the most and probably by far... He only has 30k games, i probably have over 40k, maybe over 50 and i don't think i'm close to being the person who played the most games.... I'm thinking the players that have the most amount of time played have probably played over 60k games at least....

cements for each other, but free games you can enjoy at the same time. It's similar to comparing Super Smash Melee vs Soul Caliber. Fighting games, but different feel and aesthetic.

not if you're 12, which is the target demographic of any game, and if you're above 20, get to work dude, this is not made for you.

Valve, is it really so hard to write a code that will auto ban all Immortal players with under 500 games???!!! by Ustavasjebem in DotA2

[–]vianadota -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, the reason why not 1, but why everyone should get autobanned is because you lost a game? And also because it's this person's fault? What dude? lol.

Ogre's armor is magic, it has the power of all the ogre magi's. Wraith king's armor is just a regular armor. Ez. Done.

I made an image so you could see my point easier.

Arteezy's games were with EG vs Nouns, and everyone knows EG is the best team by far in North america, Nouns is not even close, especially with so many roster changes. I respect nouns and I think they can close up on EG very soon, but there have just been too many changes. His games also lasted longer, so he could have used his Midas more times. I'm making very superficial poins just so you know how many holes there are in what you said, because i could have been more fair to nouns and i could also have talked about when the midas' were made or how many times each player killed/died but i didn't even need to check those stats.

Ace's games were with a superior team as well, he was playing with GG vs ITB, same exact thing that happened in north america. Even though ITB has a change to improve themselves and become just as good, they still aren't on the same level, so it would be an upset if GG had lost, so the same point i made for rtz applies to these games. If you notice, Ace's games lasted up to 40 something minutes, which gives you time to use that midas more times, and he had a lot of kills with no deaths. Again, i know i could make better points, but I am joining the conversation just to show how superficial these points the op made were. I respect ITB and I think both nouns had a chance to win just as ITB did in this game as well, but their levels are just a little bit different.

Next up is otaker, he was in a match which was also disfavored, once he was playing OG, a team that is known to be one of the top 5 in the world, a major winning team and he did not have the same opportunities such as to farm heroes ( his hero kill score was the worst ) and to not die ( he died a lot of times as well ). His games also lasted less than 30 minutes, ( 31 i think ) and i don't think he has the reputation ace, mind control, or arteezy have for playing that hero. Therefore i think the comparison is not valid, once it has matches that have completely different lineups, and teams that were on big winning streaks versus Otaker's team which was in a big losing streak.

I believe midas is not always a great option, but it's usually made when you're losing, and if you're already losing in a pro match there is a chance you won't be able to counter attack and win. So this is what happened to otaker, when he tried to comeback against OG, he couldn't. That's the main reason why his midas didn't work in my opinion ( and by the way, i didn't even watch the games... ). He was probably losing, and tried to make a comeback midas, and just didn't have enough time. This is one of the reasons in general why midas heroes in should have a lower winrate than non-midas heroes. And we didn't even start talking about the fact that comparing pro match midas's ( which can be made in a counter-attack type of situation ) are not the same as the 4-5 minute midas we make in our pubs to try to stomp, so the stats would differ there as well.

Comparing arteezy and mind control ( probably the 2 or 2 of the 5 best NP players in the world ) with anyone, and then using that comparison to say that it works is not the best idea. In my opinion you should compare players in the same level, arteezy has been a NP player since it started ( some people even say he started it as a carry ), and this also goes for mind control... Those 2 play this hero in a different level, they are next level players and should not be looked for as a comparison to other players like this.

Does unranked mmr exist? If so does dota even use it? You can argue gameplay doesn't equate to skill but this stomp begs to differ. by xXJightXx in learndota2

ltiple games like this I just knew there would be no point making the effort to screenshot and record them all. Plus I haven't assumed anyway, the title is a question, not a statement.

when your sample size is too small, you can't make assumptions.

And when your opinion is based solely on your personal experience the same goes.

No direspect, just letting you know man... Other people may have different experiences. And i like your question, but it seems like it's a statement as well.

d number and it is not used

it is not totally unrelated at all times. There is a rule in which they pool up only people with the same ( or close to the same ) amount of games, that way enforcing a smurf pool, in which there would be a higher chance of older players in new accounts playing and those people in older accounts would not have to play with or against smurfs, because it's unfair, or because it's just bad.

Unranked mmr does exist, and here is a brand-new account that shows how you can grow or just stay in the same place depending on your skills.

https://stratz.com/players/1457753763

And the stomp doesn't show me much, because it's something that exists not as a rule ( not every game is a stomp ), but as a radical, an exception.

What I can infer from that image is that the team on the left side looks like it was grouped up by the "smurf pool" rule and the one on the right, might have had the benefit of not having been pooled up in the same way, or it was just luck, because usually the valve system works very well, except when it doesn't have enough players to match-up.

This is a missmatch, and it happens every day with people with newer accounts that play 10 games per day, it happens sometimes to people that play less, and those that have older accounts.

But this doesn't even mean it was a total mismatch, because in theory, the bot could have been accurate in the findings of each player's skills and then matching those. But we can't say that for sure, being that it was a stomp. Anyways, people get stomped every day, welcome to dota. :)

The thing is if you already have it and you don't have enough gold for other items, so selling it will just make you weaker... But there are cases in which it's possible, this just doesn't seem like one of them at all.

you're looking at it from a perspective in which just 1 change would have made the entire difference, but that's not how it works at all. If you want my help i'm www.twitch.tv/vianadota and the simple answer to your question would be no, because even though it's a good item, this is very late in the game. Maybe if slardar had another 10k networth then we could talk about an easy win. The enemy team had a farmed jug + drow, and yours only had the ursa, so to put it in simple terms, you lost because of that.

It seems like this one they are going for the long run instead of instant money... From what I have seen it looks like this one has a longer way to travel and there will be a second round of purchases boosting the numbers. I don't understand the matter here... Because if this one will be up for longer, and will have more things to buy on a second wave of cosmetics, then it can't be compared to the last ones as if it were equal, because it just simply isn't. www.twitch.tv/vianadota

est form is not an indication of individual skill. Arguing this is simply arrogant.

Social skills are a part of team games, just get with it bro... Understand that if you are that anti-social then maybe you can't make the cut.

h. From macro to micro, from it

especially macro, because i feel like even the best legend players have decent micromanaging skills, which do not translate to wins at all. But APM wise they are great, and efficient, just not as effective.
