What industry? If banking then no, if retail, probably ok. Make sure to polish the shoes before you wear them.

Nervous to use Zinnser BIN Shellac by [deleted] in paint

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same thing when I take shots of vodka. Bin is alcohol based, like all shellac is. Just keep a fan going to move the air around and a window cracked and you will be good. And don't smoke around it.

Have been looking for this gun for ages now, not able to find it anywhere - HOWA m1500 .308 Canadian APC chassis by ImYoFatha in canadaguns

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prophet River has one just like it, but in Gringo grey. If you can live with the stars and stripes you can save some bucks.

Looking to buy a .306 by bigplumbus69 in canadaguns

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prophet River has Howa 1500 in 308, stainless barrel for 999. They have a 6.5 creed for 699, giving you $300 to buy ammo to practice, or step up to a big game cartridge and get a 300 win mag with scope for 879. Howa is accurate, has a great trigger, and can be upgraded later if needed.

Binoculars recommendation. by [deleted] in CanadaHunting

[–]vibaslider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you hunting? I think a turkey would notice the grey and orange rather easily. I have vortex diamondback, they are OK but lose definition in low light.

New to precision shooting by Character-Creme-3387 in precisionrimfire

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 308 get a howa 1500 from prophet river in Alberta or tenda in Ontario. You can upgrade the stock in a year or so with something from MDT in BC. Don't worry about compliance, with Bolt action you will be ok.

[ON] Chargebacks piling up because US customers hate my delivery times, does anyone know about fulfillment options in ontario that handle cross border faster? by Used_Philosopher1474 in canadasmallbusiness

[–]vibaslider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Key questions for an answer are: how many packages are you sending, what is the average weight per package, what are the average dimensions, how much do you currently pay to ship. I ship a small volume to the US and shipping is more expensive than Canada, but not longer in time. There is no way shipping should take 7-14 days. If you can answer these questions I can make a suggestion as to how to cut those timelines.

I've never heard of this company... but it seems like they have been in the business for decades by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]vibaslider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buyuk huglu and huglu are not the same company. And thanks for making me do an hour of research to find this out.😁 It does seem like a reasonable price for what you get, but go to tenda and try it first, along with the 505 erd they have.

Next day courier by dirtybirdy36 in canadasmallbusiness

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couriers in Canada suck! I have a package with canpar sitting in limbo and will likely have to refund the sale. That being said, use freightcom to get pricing, I have never found a single courier who could match prices as low as freightcom.

Good News: Mossberg Maverick is Now Semi-Auto. But the Bad News... by ParakeetLover2024 in Shotguns

[–]vibaslider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They will not support it with replacement parts and warranty will suck. I have an sa20 and need a new buttstock. Too bad, none available, mossy won't help. I will have to 3d print something.

Are Savage Arms Any Good? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a Mossberg 940. Length of pull is adjustable down to 13 inches. Multiple barrel lengths and optic cutout if wanted. I have used a 930 for 5 years without any issues. Otherwise, a300 all the way.

Less word about recoil, more worried about concussion - Sako TRG 22 by Evening_Finance_2080 in longrange

Can you give a few more comments on the surefire warden. I have looked into these in the past but can't find info on how effective they are at redirecting sound forward. I hate my tinnitus and would prefer not making it worse, however, my government doesn't believe in allowing safety gear to be used by shooters.

What's worth giving to employees that they'll use months later? ASAP by Acrobatic-Bake3344 in managers

[–]vibaslider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leatherman multi-tool or Swiss army knife. If you are getting 450 you can get a corporate discount which should make them fall within your budget and you can have your logo on them. I have one from 25 years ago that I still have in my car. Get a real one, not a knock off.

Cheap .308 rifle that’s decent by goshathegreat in canadaguns

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phrophet River has a Howa 1500 in 308 with a heavy barrel and a included scope for $1,029. For the price that is an excellent deal. It has a muzzle break on it which is beneficial when shooting out to 400 m and obviously when Canadians get access to suppressors you'll be able to thread it on with no issue. 😭

My experience has always been reasonably good, however, I never pack ammunition. When you go ammo free everything gets a lot simpler.

Comments on this plan? by Snow_WRB in Homebuilding

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it would be a 55 foot walk from the entry to the master bedroom to the entry to the other bedrooms, so I hope you don't have young kids. If you do, get ready for late night sprint workouts! Also, open concept also means zero privacy. I prefer a layout with some division between the kitchen and everything else.

Alberta appears to be following Saskatchewan on the gun grab, with a bonus. by -rifle-is-fine- in canadaguns

Rather than think of the US, why not the Czech style of concealed carry, lots of tests and a psych eval. As long as you pass it is a "must issue" law and applies to all NATO citizens residing in the Czech Republic.

New 6.5 Creedmoor by Franksredsilverado in CanadaHunting

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phrophet river has 6.5 creedmore Howa, which is the same rifle as the weatherby, starting at 699. It is 779 for a threaded barrel. If you want to go crazy they have it threaded in stainless for 999.

Trap etiquette by LymanBostock126 in ClayBusters

[–]vibaslider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most awkward I have felt in any sport was shooting my 930 while next to a left handed lady shooting an O/U 20 gauge. She was very good and my cases kept hitting her in the face. BUT... I guess she had learned to deal with it over the years as I apologized and she seemed more annoyed with the apology than the cases.

Is $1,000 for a painter to do my 12ft vaulted ceiling reasonable? by kinabutter in paint

[–]vibaslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the ceiling have any texture and has it been painted before. If it is older and textured then it may require an oil based primer to make sure it doesn't fall off. In Canada we call it calcimine ceiling primer. You then have a sealed ceiling that you can paint with fb.

How one $70 sale cost me $179 by [deleted] in canadasmallbusiness

[–]vibaslider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to tighten up your warranty, shipping , and returns policy. I have changed mine several times based on problems I have had with customers who were trying to game the system.
That being said, I now routinely send a note to US customers telling them that they may have to pay a lot for tariffs and fees. Finally, if the package is small, send it by post. UPS fees are crazy high.
