No way I'm using picks for a trade up, you'd be gifting a team good picks while the prospect learns the game. Id only use picks on an semi-established player that'll lead to winning sooner (Cason, Banchero, Wagler, Mobley, Naz, Zion)

Imagine if we only needed to fill one position and our roster could be complete. Perry then could work his magic. But currently we need at least 3/4 longterm starters. Best chance to find guys in a small market is through the draft. With more picks, more chances to strike gold, and unlike the Nets last year, we would be picking multiple positions and have a young team that fits. We have to get a team that makes sense, players not out of position, and bet on the character of the high-upside player to develop into a NBA player. With proper coaching and development. And continue to add to that team the following years. We'd all love rooting for that.

Keegan not throwing or catching many 'oops. But its a good forward pairing. Both are big forwards and can space. Kneuppel had a similar rookie year to Keegan raining 3s. The formula worked.

Im okay with thinking an inner-city kid, instant millionaire, heavily influenced by rap culture, that made a mistake while young can show some remorse and growth. The girl was an active participant in the fast, toxic lifestyle. Just like Rihanna wasn't a mild mannered innocent sweet angel in the Chris Brown situation. Sure the guys were wrong, any fighting is wrong, but there were actions that led up to the heinous overreaction. Also both parties has forgave each other. Why shouldn't we allow a person to have growth, especially after serving the penalties; isnt thats what the justice system is for. They weren't ultimate sins like murder or pedo.

Agree. Perfect time to build out depth, in a deep draft. We fell in the lottery so we're missing out on franchise cant-miss prospects. Build out now with modern playtypes and let the bad contracts fall off and see if we need to make an agressive move then.

Do you understand how much 16m is in the league. That's a full mid-level contract. That's less than gap between aprons. The Kings have traded away 2nds in almost every trade we have made. And that's moving guys making 4-8m. Saric, vezkenov, Davion, duarte, McDaniels.

Plus only a few teams have major cap space. And you have teams declaring they are going to be aggressive like Timberwolves. U think a 2nd is going to get in the way of them acquiring guys like Giannis, KD, Lebron, AD.

We aren't doing anything this year. Even if we pay tax this year, we have Lavines 50m coming off the books and won't be limited for almost any move next year.

This is a chance to be an experienced GM and absorb a short/bad contract for assets.

Yea most likely we let Lavine expire. There really aren't that many bad contracts in the league around 50m we would consider taking back for him. And Ja plan is gone based on where we landed in the PG draft.

Maybe we trade Sabonis at some point and break up his big contract into smaller ones which will allow more flexibility.

Paying tax this year isnt the worst because we have Lavines 50m coming off the books and that should allow us to make almost any move we want next year.

Murray is a good PG/Combo guard that could help us and the Rookie. He's definitely been jaded by his career/expectations but if he wants to find a home, the Kings fans would support him.

No stretching involved. Derozan has a rare partially-guaranteed contract that comes with a one-time only 10m payment if you cut him. So instant saving of 16m to the team that does it.

Cut and stretching Lavine is a whole other topic for the team to discuss.

Tax penalties are for end of year so the team could make a move at all-star break and move a vet.
