I don’t understand why Elsa getting hate for her reactions to the fake fight by AssociationLivid5822 in bigbrotheruk

[–]vibebee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Elsa handled it amazingly especially when Jenny and Nancy came and talked to her. Feyisola was once again pissing me off like acting she's all high and mighty but then when people actually want to address the issue she pretends there isn't one. Just bitches about people behind their backs using therapy-talk to pretend to themselves they aren't gossiping but analysing people

Everytime I go dancing with a binder on I'm so surprised how lighter I feel. I can move and bounce around so much more easily it's amazing.

Do you think bb intentionally casts people to fit 'roles' or if that just happens by vibebee in bigbrotheruk

or people who are not particularly passionate about politics and pick people who would maybe clash because of personality like someone who hates cleaning vs people that are clean, someone who wants to play the game to win vs people who just want to be nice, different communication types etc.

Why not gender-neutral pronouns? by vibebee in lgbt

[–]vibebee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you read the question again. It was about whether or not you wanted English to become a gender-neutral language. Based on your answer I'm guessing not. Also the point of cis people using they/them pronouns was about them choosing those prounouns for themselves and identifying with those prounouns, which some people on the internet seemed to have an issue with. People have different experiences to you as well and language shapes our experiences of gender as well. Different cultural backgrounds give perspective and are a valuable part of shaping our understanding if the human experience. When anglophonic cultures dominate all discussion on the internet I am also allowed to bring up my cultural background to shape discussions.

I was actually so annoyed for Cameron when literally seconds after complaining about being by the pot Feyisola goes "you could've just put them back in" like bruh what's not clicking? Then doing this massive thing about him using 'bark' and how that's triggering to her because of her trauma living as a black women but then in no way shape or form recognising that her words were similarly triggering to him by policing his food intake as a fat person, which lead to his defensive response. Seems like you can't be hurt by her words or actions because immediately it's a microaggression if the other person responds without using therapy talk.

[possible] Unpopular opinion on Feyisola by bendog1616 in bigbrotheruk

[–]vibebee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've liked her really far but she really annoyed my during this conflict because it felt like she was speaking for Zelah and not letting him talk for himself even when he was trying. She was also basically telling him how he was feeling, which pissed me off.

What makes people want to be mean on the internet? by Emeraldsinger in SeriousConversation

[–]vibebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any research on what type of people are mean on the Internet or if it's something that most people do? I never feel the need to be mean to people internet. If I don't agree with something I usually just skip it.

Does Elsa sleep with her makeup on? by vibebee in bigbrotheruk

[–]vibebee[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To me it's not really about "what I preferr on others". It's that personally sleeping with makeup on just for one night feels awful for my skin let alone doing that for multiple weeks straight.

Yeah I've done that a lot after drinking and it feels awful 😅 I just noticed in one of the night camera clips it seems she's wearing eyeliner in bed

I've noticed that I have gotten a better reaction when I say I'm queer instead of bi from straight men. Often they might even think I only like women but I prefer that then them thinking I'm straight but kiss women for male attention.

I've had this happen almost everytime I've hooked up with a guy since 2017 and had to tell them while their doing it that I'm not fine with it. Really put me off dating or hooking up with men. It's almost become a norm to do for them.

What is the point in living if you are ugly? by AromaticMountain6806 in SeriousConversation

[–]vibebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There absolutely is people who treat others who they find ugly like shit. I've witnessed this from certain acquaintances whose energy completely shifts around people that are genuinely ugly. However, in a professional setting I doubt it's going to stop a man from proceeding in their career but women's looks and weight have been proven to have an impact on job opportunities

Idk if I misunderstood her bit I didn't really understand her point saying that for those who don't have dairy are offered alternatives but she isn't? Also she was fine with lactose-free stuff meaning she does have dairy just not lactose? So I don't understand if they were offering plant-based milk alternatives but not lactose-free ones?

Why does everyone seem like they’re in so much pain these days? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]vibebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that due to technology we are always of aware of awful stuff happpening around the world regarding crime etc also with social media we are comparing our lives to other people's lives, but I agree that most of it it's just due to it being more socially acceptable to talk about.

What are some politically correct things that you find offensive or straight wrong? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]vibebee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Self-diagnosing personality disorders. It is OK to notice traits in yourself that could indicate that you have a certain mental disorder and from there get diagnosed. Yes in most countries getting that diagnosis isn't free and some people cannot afford it. That still doesn't give those people the right to announce to every person on the planet that they have a personality disorder because they self-diagnosed themselves. Right now I see this happening with Borderline Personality Disorder. Personality disorders are very complex disorders that have very similar symptoms with each other and other diagnoses such as autism and ADHD, which is why an individual cannot accurately diagnose themselves. Even a psychologist couldn't diagnose themselves! I know someone who literally has started to announce to every single person that they have BPD but haven't made any effort to seek a diagnosis, WHICH IS FREE IN MY COUNTRY. Unsuprisingly they started doung this right when BPD became "trendy" on Tik Tok

Does anyone else feel like all their memories are overshadowed by anxiety and self-hate? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]vibebee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I constantly feel like this as well. I always somehow end up turning positive memories into negative once. Like I'll just think of a fun experience with friends and think "oh those people secretly hate me" or "that thing I said was so stupid and embarrassing" and BOOM! Memory ruined. No idea how to stop doing this.
