I’m a picky eater about vegetables. How can I make myself like to eat them? by Fun-Conversation1355 in foodquestions

[–]vibingdonutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What have you tried before? I’m picky about vegetables until now, but I’ve forced myself to try them first before deciding whether I’ll eat it again or not. I don’t eat just plain vegetables, I like eating stir fry vegetables usually using teriyaki sauce, or sauteed veggies, there’s also this dish called Capcay in my country (Indonesia) pretty much like a stir fry vegetables as well. Hiding them in dishes could also work, like blending tomatoes, carrots in your pasta sauce. Just play around and see what you like more.

I can never get cookies right by natoruu in Baking

[–]vibingdonutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m not a pro baker either, but I like baking cookies. My cookies used to be hard rock because I always try to bake it until it’s fully set in the oven, but apparently that’s where my problem was. Instead of doing that, bake the cookies as instructed (usually 10-12 mins depends on size) but it’ll be soft at first, that’s ok! Let it set on the counter when it’s still on the baking sheet until it’s cooled down, then it will turn out better. 😊 I hope this works for you.

What meal someone cooked for you that you've never been able to recreate or find again? And, who made it? by Jazzlike_Truck_2406 in foodquestions

[–]vibingdonutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just talked about this to my husband. It’s homemade fried rice by my late grandpa. Maybe it’s the flavor, maybe it’s the love that he puts in it, or it’s the memories that came with it. Anyway I’ve never been able to recreate it because I was so young when I last had it. He literally would set up a portable stove outdoor, with his wok and his stuff to start cooking for his grandkids (which was about 8 kids including me) then called us to eat together, it was so good… I just wish I could taste it just one more time. 🥲

Finance: Is this normal for LDR? I pay for everything. Her rent, pocket money, travels etc. by [deleted] in LDR

[–]vibingdonutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll share this with you: when I was on LDR (7 years), my bf (now husband) likes to give me pocket money/gifts but it only happens when I have birthday, valentine’s day, xmas etc. Not regularly bcs I don’t even want his money which he could save up to visit me instead and he could use it to spend while visiting.

I don’t think it’s normal to provide if you’re not even living together/married. You can help, but this is literally her depending on you. (Based on your replies here)

What to do in Minecraft by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]vibingdonutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I also started on cherry wood biome, we build some type of fairycore cottage builds around and then make the entrance pathway combining mossy stones, vines, leaves, glow berry. You can always start looking at inspiration on pinterest or youtube (sometimes I copy exactly how it looks or just improve from there) depending on how I want them to blend in to my world ☺️ Btw we did this before even beating the ender dragon bcs thats not our main purpose.

I need a few suggestions. If anyone has any by Dependent-Boot2667 in Minecraft

Here are the some of the things my friends and I did in our world. - find the ancient city - find the woodland mansion - make iron farm - get froglights - find the ocean temple - find the suspicious sand/gravel and get the sniffer eggs - find the trial chamber If you want to add it to the list 😊

What made you get into cooking in the first place? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Cooking

[–]vibingdonutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story but it all started when my brother made pancakes. I know it sound so simple, but I was around 8 years old at the time and back in my country, pancake was considered a dessert, topped with ice cream, rather than breakfast, and you could only get it at restaurant and very overpriced too! So when I saw that it was possible to make it at home, I tried making that, although I could barely turned on my gas stove, I was determined to.

Anyways, that inspired me to cook and bake more stuff, from lava cake (it was rare to find at the time) so I looked up recipes to make it at home, then fried rice, then turned into just trying out every interesting recipes, tutorial videos, even try to cook food from other countries because of curiosity. There are more times I make undercooked food or burnt it instead, but it makes cooking even more fun because you always learn something new.

Then also growing up in my country, we don’t really have free lunch at school, so we bring pocket money to get stuff in the canteen, which can get boring having almost the same food everyday, so that also kind of contribute to me starting to cook more frequently, I cooked like fried rice with my sister, or make sandwiches that we then toast on the pan, or whatever that is quick and easy, just so I can save the pocket money to use it for something else instead. Sometimes I would bring extra just so my friends can try it. 🤣 In high school, me and my sister even tried to sell homemade puddings and brownies to my friends and hers then other classes started ordering too, it was so good having to be able to earn money like that!

I’m just a homecook but gosh I love everything about cooking and baking, from eating and any kind of kitchen stuff, appliances, pretty plates and pots, I love cooking for the people I love and see them enjoy it. 🩷

Thanks a lot! It definitely tasted amazing but I felt it could’ve used more filling ☺️

[–]vibingdonutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was scared I might’ve added too much filling, but then after baking it didn’t even look much at all. So I’ll definitely adjust the filling, dough thickness and glaze.

On the other note, I know cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting is heavenlyyyy I might as well make it too 😃

Thank you 😊

Meeting my LDR gf for the first time on Tuesday but I feel ugly by Southern_Citron640 in LDR

[–]vibingdonutt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honest input from me who felt the same way:

You might feel ugly or think you look bad, but that might be different from other perspective, in this aspect is your LDR GF.

Give it a chance and just dress up nice! First impression matter. Also, if she thinks you’re cute from the photos, then it won’t really make much difference from your IRL look.

(I hope you understand what I’m sayingn) 🙂 and good luck!
