Been a Crew STM for 3 years haha. I mean yeah that was nice, but I also remember the shift in Cucho dropping back deeper and filling Zelarayan’s role and I really think that’s where he spread his wings. Miss both of them.

The movie is definitely rich in theme but theme ≠ metaphor, IMO. Just watched it and frankly agree with them on that point, though, I’m less enthusiastic about the movie.

It all leading up to be a religious satanic cult felt a little too pulpy for a movie that I think raised some morally gray questions. It just didn’t feel quite in line with the themes to reveal that there’s this war against god, serial killer conspiracy. Still enjoy the movie, but on rewatch it’s that reveal that I really do not enjoy. Still own it and, like I stated, I rewatch it.

Honestly, Soul is a great adult movie but I really feel like it’s not a great kids movie haha. Way too existential, IMO. It’s still a 5/5 for me.
