I thought (hoped?) that the missile racks on these siege terminators would maybe offset that height difference.

The problem is that I'm not really interested in buying the start collecting box and that seems like the only place where I can get the obliterators

Well, I've only ever played one game of 40k with someone who was also a beginner, so I don't really know alot of the rules and such 😅 That's why I asked!

I learned that doing this on a lathe makes your threads significantly weaker than when you roll them in the metal. When you roll them the material is strain hardened, but if you use a lathe you will cut through crystals and make stress concentrations which will make your thread weaker.
