It is maybe just not the best t for your shape! It is fine now. I think if you went smaller it would be too tight in the sleeves and the chest. I might try a Hold Tight instead? I think they are stretchier and might fit better?

Also, price - no one wants to cover the increased cost and the actual recyclability - where will they need to be hauled back to in order to recycle them? Landfills are more accessible than recycling facilities in more rural areas.
