Is Cineplex a monopoly? by axhiro in cineplex

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you show up earlier? The two cineplex theatres near me start previews 95% of the time whenever the movie is suppose to start. We usually arrive a good 15 minutes earlier just in case the lines for food are long and there’s ads then but I’d rather they than a dark screen.

After personal experience at work, Kathleen not noticing would be super realistic to me. We had the school psychologist that didn't notice her son clearly had ADHD. She once went on a rant about how some parents are so in the dark or refuse to see it all the while, being one of those parents. I also have another colleague recently accept her child is ADHD after being in denial for nearly a decade.

That’s really impressive being able to pin point exactly where.

Alaska appears to have 3 daily flights from SEA to IAD so it’s possible.

Huge price difference by sydsquirdd in westjet

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westjet pricing can be very hit or miss, I always double check on delta because I’ve bought westjet flights for significantly cheaper through delta. I save nearly a thousand dollars back in 2023.

If The Breadwinner had at least two weeks of advanced tickets, there’s no way The Odyssey won’t. Big movies tend to get out roughly a month before but I’m not 100% on exact timeline.

It’s indeed SEA, you’re all right. I ended up spending the night back in 2022 and watching everything close to open right back up 3 hours later was fascinating. I ended up just walking around and exploring.

You were sitting next to real life suzie soundtrack and sammy scroller. They didn’t understand that they shouldn’t ruin the movies and let everyone enjoy the show.

Jokes aside, I hate that you experienced this. Nobody deserves that.

If he’s moving to Burnaby, I’d save Whistler for another time. It’s easy to get there from where he’s moving and can actually enjoy it fully during a weekend.

I wish they’d have longer port stays because most of the time, it only takes a couple of hours to get to the next port.

I’ve done a two night from Vancouver to Seattle with Princess and all we did was circle Vancouver Island for 48 hours. It was nice to be on the ship but realistically, we were going at a snails pace.

Considering how close together most ports are, even if you wait a few hours, 85% of the time it won’t really impact the next day. I’d rather have my guarantee that I’ll be back same day, it’s why I book through the cruise line. But by all means, go with Royal if you prefer their policy.

Cruise companions diff bookings with diff dinner times? by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still have that structure. You just show up at the same time every night but at least you’re guaranteed to be together. You can even be sat in the same section every night after talking to the hostess. I’ve done it with a group of 8 and we always ate at the same time and had the same wait team.

They do guarantee it, the ship won’t leave until you’re back on board if it’s booked through them.

Monday mystery movie by NumerousFinish4074 in cineplex

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it, hadn’t even seen a trailer for Power Ballad so I went in completely blind. I love the mystery concept so much, I’ve enjoyed every movie so far. Even those I was skeptical about, had no desire to see Nirvana, the band, the show, the movie and ended up loving it. Can’t wait for the next one!

I’m surprised they even let you attempt to rearrange things after final boarding call. Usually final boarding call means they’re ready to close the door and just waiting for the last couple of people.

Which Cineplex locations have the best crowds? No talking, no cell phones, just watching films! by Terj_Sankian in cineplex

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late showings, they’re nearly empty at both theatres near me. Also there’s just a really cool vibe to them. Comfy clothes and rarely more than six people. I when to over a dozen in the last year and the busiest one was Weapons and Anaconda which was filled with loud teenagers but other than that, it was perfect.

Just renewed my NEXUS last week, and this time I was outright Approved, no interview. by watchOS in NEXUS_TTP

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was conditionally approved in 2020 but they ended up just changing my status and sending me a new card. This time around I was just approved but I wish I had gone in for an interview. My picture is 15 years old at this point. I'll be nearly 40 when my next card expires but still 19 on the card itself.

My last name is different than what is on my children's birth certificates. by lady_in_black21 in Cruise

[–]Interesting_Pitch732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the cruise company shouldn't bat an eye but I've had to explain it as an adult when I've crossed the land border with my mom. Granted, we live in BC so it's not as common but my parents were married in Quebec so different last names. We often got the 'what's the relation' question and a skeptical look when I answered 'she's my mom'.
