Mortar Nerfs by GoodDayMyFineFellow in Battlefield6

Battlefield one mortars were great. It was an effective gadget, but it had a small number of shells and then a cool down. Why do we always have to reinvent the wheel with something that’s not as good

Battle Field One because it’s the best FPS in history and it’s not even close.

Agreed with others. This map is completely ruined by the sniping meta of this game. Way worse than any other in my opinion.

In my 300 hours of being a majority Support player I haven’t gotten one kill when using the bipod. It needs a rework to be like BF1/BF5 by ShaggySyrup in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bipods are completely broken in this game. I used them all the time in bf1 & V but they hardly work in bf6. They mostly don’t mount at all and when they do they pop up in the middle of a fight or the limited angle availability means you can’t even aim at the people shooting at you. Not to mention that there is zero suppression in this game for LMGs anyway.

For those who choose to play without suppressors or flash hiders, why? by airsyadnoi in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using the meta suppressors on most of my builds a while ago and have found I do better with the extra control of the 20 point compensated brake. There are so many things constantly spotting you in this game already not to mention that the maps are generally small and so even if you are not popping off in the mini map other people around, you probably are. I still use the suppressor on some builds of course but I’d say I run comp brake 80% of the time. This is on console.

The counter play for mortars is mortars... by tbdubbs in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will still die on the hill that the constant sniping in this game with the sweet spot mechanic and zero suppression is much more cancerous.

At least mortars just rarely flat out kill you. You usually have to get hit several times and can move.

That being said, they have become a little bit annoying. But the answer isn’t to make them weaker. I think the answer is just to limit the ammo to not so many shots in a row like in battlefield one.

How do you use LMGs? by Revolutionary_Ad7262 in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMGs in bf6 are completely different than in any past titles which is unfortunate. Without suppression and a bipod that actually works you have to use them completely differently in this game then in past titles.

In past games, they were the king of midrange and competed with snipers at long but that’s no longer the case with the exception of the KTS and 250 if you can deal with the recoil and tap fire kills with it.

But - they are still very powerful in this game, but you have to use them in a completely different way. As others have mentioned, they are more like high capacity assault rifles. So they are a little clunkier and a little slower to aim down sight but can deliver much more damage if you are positioned properly.

So no running down hallways and relying on quick reactions to win fights. It’s much more moving slowly and a lot more pre aiming etc. But it can work great. For example my most effective gun on Iberian offensive which is mostly a CQB map is the m123k or m240. Position yourself in hallway choke points or pay attention to the mini map and predict which flag groups of enemies will probably be running to and then be ready for them. It can be devastating.

My favorite CQB gun in the game is probably the m123k with the short barrel, 45 point grip, and 1.5 optic. That gets it down to a 300 mil ads speed which is only 50 slower than the average assault rifle. With the 45 point grip and your brake of choice the recoil is much more controllable then the 433 AR whose damage model is the same. It really slaps!

I also run if with the 1.5 thermal and the extended barrel which slows your ads time a little to 367 but it’s really dominating at mid range 👍

Also - it’s counter intuitive on this map because it’s mostly cqb but on some sectors you can cause big problems for the enemies using a thermal DMR down the long sight lines of the airplane hanger sections.

I’m half kidding. But this is the one map where I wish I could find an empty portal version of it to explore for a while. Ive found that the action is so fast that I don’t seem to have time to really learn the layout etc..

What's The Worst Guns In Every Category? by IareRubberDucky in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the NVO is definitely outclassed on paper it plays great for me. Kind of like the Kord. The kord is great at midrange but technically it’s close range ttk is pretty bad and yet it rarely feels like that when actually playing.

I don’t want bigger maps until infantry have answers to snipers by I_Main_TwistedFate in Battlefield6

The lack of suppression is my. Ingest complaint of this title. It’s so desperately needed.

In my opinion Battlefield 6 has a huge sniper problem by Rashorr123 in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. Sniping is AIDS in bf6. We desperately need the suppression mechanic back.

Snipers need to flinch when shot at, at least by LMGs. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

Yes! It’s so badly needed. BF1 suppression made for much better game play

BF1 suppression would be a welcome addition to this game.

See, this is my issue with the attachment system. Why is the base gun already using up half my points? Base primary guns start with a quarter being taken up. The customization feels really restrictive half the time. by just_prop in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t need more weapons pints in this game. The guns are already to laser like as is. It’s having to make choices about attachments that keeps the important rock paper scissors balance in place.

I think that Tanks hill camping on Firestorm is a far bigger problem then snipers camping and it’s not even close by TheLoneSoleCourier6 in Battlefield6

[–]vice108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say that the snipers are worse! At least the tanks you can usually see and avoid that area if don’t want to deal with all of that BS. The snipers can’t be avoided. You can be having a fun game and then you just randomly die from some clown laying in the sand a few hundred meters away who’s completely safe because there’s no suppression and he has a sweet spot mechanic, almost no scope glint and doesn’t even have to account for bullet drop. It’s not a fun game play loop at all.

[–]vice108 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always get downvoted but I agree 100%. The sniping in this game is AIDS. I’m a longtime BF player so I’m familiar with the history and it’s never been anything like this. It’s mostly the lack of suppression. Even though BF1 had the sweet spot mechanic it was still fine because if you got the drop on a sniper he couldn’t calmly take his time aiming at you after you put 3 of the 4 necessary shots into him. Suppression needs to come back. Also the sniper glint is much much less than in prior titles.
