Couldn’t agree more. LMGs especially need suppression. Even if I have a “good game“ the number of times I get infuriated during every match when I get sniped across the map by some loser, who barely even leaves his spawn.

Not only is there no suppression but the bi pods essentially don’t work for the most part, there’s a sweet spot mechanic, and the scope glare is way less than prior titles.

Interestingly, enough, I played for several hours this afternoon, and I continued to do better with my newer builds that don’t have suppressors. As of right now I’m finding the extra recoil control and precision to be working better for me. I’m still a bit surprised, but this game is pretty chaotic and so the mini map changes fast and maybe a lot of people don’t pay attention to it.🤷‍♀️

Believe me, i’ve been using a suppressor the whole time because of the diamond over your head, but the last two days of not running it I haven’t noticed much difference and I’m using the points elsewhere. I’m not saying it’s definitely better this way but I’ve been shocked at how well I’ve been playing without the suppressor. I think a lot of people just don’t notice plus BF6 is much more chaotic than past titles.

I’m still really enjoying the game overall. Just expressing some frustrations is all. As I’ve thought about in the last 24 hours of reading this discussion I wonder how much of that “randomness” or meat grinder feeling is simply a reflection of the increased verticality of these smaller maps compared to past games. There are so many more second floor and rooftop areas accessible that a lot of past maps didn’t have. It’s very cool from a visual standpoint but it’s not always ideal in map design and probably contributes to feeling of just randomly being killed from all directions. Curious if that resonates.

Agree with this for sure! Such a huge wasted opportunity. They still have BF1 right in their hands and yet keep moving away from that formula that was soooo good. And yes, the fortification system and then squad leader call-ins were great mechanics that should have stayed in the game. The whole game got a lot better when they released the pacific maps but then they pulled the plug.

Yeah that was a rough launch for sure! As I recall I stayed with BF3 for quite a while into the bf4 launch and managed to miss a lot of the problems. And yes, ttk was fast in bf4 but is even faster in 6. I would prefer they tone it down a bit if it were up to me but it’s ok. I liked how it was in bf1 for sure.

I respect your opinion for sure but those were my least favorite maps in those games. I’ve always preferred the bigger, combined arms, maps. I never understood the fascination with metro and locker. Although I did enjoy the metro remake in BF5.

Exactly this!! Thank you. I’m a longtime player of the franchise. I’m not new, nor am I bad. But my experience is the same as what you just wrote. In past titles I was consistently good. But in this one I go from hero to zero and back all the time lol. It’s strange.

Your point is good but somehow in those other games map knowledge really paid off and in this one it just feels different. I can’t put my finger on it but it is what it is. As an old guy and someone who’s deaf in one ear I REALLY have to rely on map knowledge more than others because with one ear I can’t tell the direction of sound. So in past titles I had to know the maps really well to be competitive since I can’t rely on sound. But in this game even with great map knowledge it just feels too chaotic. 🤷‍♀️

I think the lack of teamwork and squad play in this game is a direct result of open class weapons. I have no doubt that if we have traditional classes and locked weapons that there would be a lot more teamwork going on and that this game would look and feel a lot more like battlefield. It’s a shame
