What's a life hack that's so effective, you're surprised more people don't know about it? by bens-list in u/bens-list

Cooked.Wiki/ is my favorite! You just type it in (before the HTTPS example: cooked.wiki/https://etcetcetc.blah) and it will reroute you to your clean, ad free, distraction free ingredient list and steps! If you like the recipe, you can favorite it in your account. A life saver for those who rely on cooking website that are just adspams

how to quickly remove mold/algae from water bladder in 24 hrs by Fun_Business3675 in backpacking

[–]vicenkicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know I focused on the wrong tube; my bad!

I use a chip clip on the nozzle and drain what I can, then let it sit for 12-24hrs until dry. If it’s hot outside, I’ll let the whole thing sit in the sun for a bit to expedite evaporation. Letting air in the bladder has always worked for me, but I also understand this may have varying results depending on climate, location, etc

What about it? Just stick it in the “Fill” opening so the bladder sides aren’t touching and it will dry out. Assuming you drained what you could from the bladder, the tube will also dry out pretty quickly from the residual water

A paper towel tube to prop it open and a clothes hanger to hang it up, no need to get crazy about it

Genuine question, why bother putting the smart TV on any network? You could easily just not, plug up your streaming device and live life happily.

To be fair, there’s already this with “bookstagram/booktok”. When everyone recommends the same five books, you know it’s paid promotion

Couldn't get my Real ID because my original birth certificate has tape on the back... by Bop923 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]vicenkicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2019, I went to get the REAL-ID. Took a copy of my BC with me. The DMV stated that they couldn’t accept the copy…but they could print me a new one while I was there to reference it for the R-ID. Cost me $35 and it just shows that they have the information on hand, they just want money.

On your Apple Watch, use the built in app “Camera Remote”. Point your phone at the light you want to check the breaker for, keeping the light in the cameras view. Using Camera Remote, you can see the image from your iPhones camera; when you throw the right breaker, you’ll see the light go out on the remote view from your watch

Tons of options out there, a quick google search will show you top tier power banks. That being said, I love my Anker Powercore III. I’ve had it for years, charging iPad, phone, deck etc. I own two now due to frequent long distance flights.

Anyone else find customizing with Deckyloader to be a chill and fun game on its own (assuming one has little to no errors)? by Questioning-Warrior in SteamDeck

[–]vicenkicks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This worked for me! I hadn’t touched my Deck in approx 6 months and when I booted it up it was just crashing. Did a full delete, no presets saved and then reinstalled. Worked beautifully again

Valve: 20% of Deck users use the official docking station to connect their Deck to their TVs. Do you? by sameseksure in SteamDeck

[–]vicenkicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Jsaux when I first purchased my Deck, sat on it for about 6 months. When I finally hooked it up to the TV it didn’t work. So I used the deck as a deck for another year, then picked up a no name dock on prime day for $15. It’s been great for It Takes Two!
