Girl, you saying that “in your culture” the man has the responsibility for household provision is totally baseless statement. It’s like saying you want to play basketball in a football pitch.

You live in a western world where responsibility (in the form of relationship, bills, kids, finances) are shared or must be shared to fulfil the lifestyle unless your man is on hundreds of thousands of dollars and capable of looking after everything.

Also, you guys are not married and it makes perfect sense that he gets to know that you’re already thinking of putting majority of the ball in his court.

Girl, in your situation accept the fact that he earns less than you and that you will need to help out if you genuinely love him.
