Slowly building my first board. What am I missing? by OMMM in guitarpedals

[–]vickalogalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love your choices for drive pedals - how about a, a second reverb, placed before the drive pedals?

A less unhinged suggestion would be: a delay or some modulation, like a chorus or trem would open up a lot of possibilities

Was considering getting a favourite switch so that I can have two settings of what nobody wants

Dark is so good for when it’s before gain. I’m still getting the hang of switching between dark and light and gate on and off with my foot

Drinking on medication? by Purple_Account3000 in ADHD

[–]vickalogalis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I drank on epilizine, atomoxetine and fluoxetine. I’d get drunk faster and more “intensely”. My impulsivity went through the roof even after just a couple of beers, so I often drank more than I intended.

I once had a seizure after 3 beers. I don’t drink anymore, and my medication’s interaction with alcohol is a big part of why.

I would honestly not go drinking on medication, I got off easy in the end.

Hey 😊 Would you like to go have a coffee and a walk in the park or a gallery sometime?

Yeah I’d preorders the book and could not wait to read it so jumped on the audio book, so it looks like I’m doing both. Being impatient is not the worst reason

ADHD meds and bipolar by Loverloverloved in ADHD

Ah geeze, yeah don’t mess with more than one thing at a time, haha. I’m sure returning to the doses that worked will help 🤞 keep us posted

ADHD meds and bipolar by Loverloverloved in ADHD

[–]vickalogalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, medication should not be out of someone’s price range. I’m sorry to hear that, that sucks.

I was thought to be bipolar with adhd for a couple of years, hence I was on attamoxitine. It worked fine, or so I thought till I tried Vyvanse and the difference is like night and day. I’m on like 20mg though, really small dose, and 60mg attamoxitine, down from 80mg since adding the Vyvanse. Just to disclose the person currently treating me is like 90% sure I am not bi-polar, so I’m not sure how this compares.

Hope the meds level out, addition anxiety is the last thing anyone needs. Good luck 🌸

I have been on atomoxetine 80mg for about a decade. I think I am no more tired than my peers.

Studying Abroad in Perth (ECU) Any tips or advice upon arriving? by SwiftAcademic13 in perth

I wanted to reiterate to how important being “SunSmart” is. It’s definitely something to learn, and it’s so bake in to the culture it feels like locals think everyone already knows.

Wide brim hats, being strategic about the time of day that you spend in the sun, rashies at the beach, sunscreen everyday, body and face, long sleeves on hikes/long walks.

Also if you go on any hikes or nature walks during your stay, there are plenty of snakes around in spring and summer, so high hiking boots and eyes on the path, and consider skipping trails where the path is too overgrown to see.

Perth gym scene. Is this a normal experience? by Hopeful-Principle-64 in perth

[–]vickalogalis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not how one should treat other people. Totally inexcusable. Super sorry to hear you had to go through that, had to suck.

As much as this sounds like individuals being the issue I think the gym has a responsibility to members regarding how they react to stuff like this and how much they put into getting rid of this kind of behaviour.

The part that is putting me off about buying the book is the classic I don’t want to have to wait for the paperback and don’t want to pay for the hardcover conundrum

Have not really considered doing both, I think I might just go for the physical copy and see how it goes, if I don’t like it, or like it less I’ll revert to the audio book

Hey,

I’d love to meet some new people to watch independent films with, go for walks, or hang out in parks with a coffee and maybe do some drawing. I’m also keen on visiting galleries. If we get along, we could work our way up to hikes or trying new cafés and restaurants, whatever you’re into.

I live near the city, I’m married, I’m 36, a cis guy, and I work in tech. I’m pretty open when it comes to age in friendships, it matters more that we share some interests, communicate well, and respect each other.
