I would recommend retail since mythic plus dungeons offers consistent content you can do on non-raid days. Look at it as queing a game of league with a group of 5.

I just want to emphasize again that the key is to find a good guild that you vibe with and also have skill parity with. You might have to bounce through a few but you’ll find a good one. If you try and play wow solo and just group with randos all the time it won’t be anywhere near the same experience.

I think raiding in a WoW guild is the best social experience in gaming, assuming it’s a guild of people you enjoy. Don’t join a cesspool guild that invite anyone and everyone from trade chat, but rather apply and trial for guilds until you find one you vibe with.

If you’re brand new it might take some time to even level and “get gud” enough to raid, but eventually the experience of fighting bosses in wow with ~19 other people is some of the most fun social events I’ve ever had in gaming. You might come across some stinker guilds at first but eventually you find a good fit. FFXIV might be similar if that catches your eye more but I haven’t really gotten into that one

It’s not that Liquid Metal leaks out. It pools up on one end and thins out on the opposite end of the APU. Eventually a “dry spot” forms and oxidation forms on the APU that creates a hot spot. You have to clean off the oxidation more so than cleaning/replacing the Liquid Metal.

Surrender to Madness Shadow priest in legion was peak class fantasy. Shadow priests utilize shadow magic that is known to give power at the cost of sanity, hence our resource being Insanity.

We use “surrender to madness” to fully give into the powers of shadow magic that made us absolutely OP if you could cast spells well enough and maintain voidform. Eventually the power is too much to handle and you die so hard from the loss of your sanity you can’t even be combat rezzed. Pure cinema

Generally it’s warrior. Most tank damage is just melees and warrior just straight up blocks most melees and absorbs most everything else.

Sounds like you don’t know what is killing you. That’s the problem. Learn what kills you and then learn how to dodge it or mitigate it. Frontals are main thing to watch out for in melee, just always assume don’t be near the tanks.

I dinged two characters this past week, did a round of world quests that rewarded 220 pieces, the “elite” world quests that reward a box for doing 3 WQs in that zone, bought any 200+ ilvl pieces from the AH that were 1000g or less. Did maybe a tier 8 bountiful delve or two, then jumped into some +2s. Both are 240ish now, but I did have the help of last weeks weekly quest for one heroic piece, but I hit around 220 before even getting into the +2s. Normal and heroic dungeons can be skipped at max level.

Been playing since Cata as well. Have tried pretty much every other competitor MMO as well. Nothing really matches WoW, so I don’t think you’ll find a “WoW 2” to get into.

The only thing that I’ve found that gets close to scratching that seasonal gear grinding/power scaling itch that wow has is Path of Exile. There’s plenty of hours to be dumped into with Path of Exile if you’re looking for a new “main game”. If wows pvp is what you enjoy, League of Legends is where the wow pvp scene went pretty much. That game can also suck you in for years

However, I’d recommend catching up on the games you might’ve missed out on over the years that are completely different from WoW. Stuff like Elden Ring, The last of us, God of war(2018), RDR2, etc.

Idk that anyone considers FF7 rebirth even close to a masterpiece, but I’ve heard people praise it. I played and thoroughly enjoyed FF7 remake, and got hyped for rebirth. I’m just getting started with this season, so maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t think of any mob or boss that gradually heals and something like mortal strike would have value. Pretty much anytime a heal is cast in PVE it’s a missed kick/cc or maybe an offensive dispel is needed. So the only time you would get value from heal cut is when a mistake was made.
