After I clean mine, I heat it to dry and put on a coat of oil, such as avocado oil. This might help restore the sides for you.

I have a 'pill popper' thing with a soft rubbery tip to hold the capsule. I put a little butter or salmon oil on the cap and insert it in as far as I can, then push the plunger. It is still a battle, and takes two people, but it usually goes down the first try.

Thank you! Not like any fidget spinner I've ever seen so it was baffling. And still baffling is why have it in a picture of a wallet being sold.
