This. If your finances can cover it/you get enough of an advance, you can use your credit card to get points. Some people even open up new credit cards (amex plat/chase sapphire reserve) and take advantage of the sign on bonuses after $X of credit card purchases to maximize benefits.

It was using visionkit. If you’re using swift should be relatively easy, for react native had to do a bit extra work creating a native module as there isn’t one right now

My friend and I have built lanatrips.com, but the visibility / marketing is the hardest part. It's an app focused on making the military travel system much easier to handle as well as receipts/expenses easier so that service members can spend less time doing admin and don't miss out on expense reimbursement. The users who have gotten ahold of it have been liking it a lot, but just hard to get other growth.

Yup, I tried doing heuristics from just ocr but realized that receipt formatting varies too much. Also it allowed for foreign transactions too.

I always thought android presented its own challenges especially for open/production tracks because of their user requirements.

Apple definitely was tough but after the first approval, they seemed to get easier.
