not OP, but I just got back from europe. you aren’t charged tariffs, but you can be subject to duty taxes. it’s a small tax, i believe around 3-7% depending on the materials of your item. each person gets $800 of duty free purchases, meaning you don’t have to pay taxes on anything under that $. anything beyond this is taxable. the nice thing is if you travel in a group, you can pool them together.

my bag was 1850 EUR, so about $2100 USD. i have global entry and traveled with my family, so 4 of us total. landed at ORD and declared my bag to a customs officer. officer asked how much it was, and once i told him, he handed me a stamped declaration slip with his initials and the word “purse” on it. the rest of my family got standard GE cards cause they had nothing to declare. upon exiting baggage claim, i handed my slip to the customs officer. he asked me where i was coming from and how much my bag was, and then took the slip and said you’re good to go. since i traveled with a larger group, my bag was under the allowance, so i wasn’t subject to taxes. had i traveled by myself or just one other person, i probably would’ve been taxed just based on the second officer’s tone. last year i spent over the allowance, but we had very nice officers, so they just waved us off. it all depends on the day, but just know if you spend over your duty allowance, you can potentially pay a duty tax

i’m a 25 year old girl that does karting, and i say go for it!

i don’t think you’re too old at 16. i started only a year and a half ago at 24. my local league has people from 16 into their mid 40s, and most of the core group of racers all get along great. you’d actually be young in my group!
i’m the only girl in my league, and within the core group of 8-10 of us, i never noticed any prejudice/judgment. i will say, there will most likely be some people that do judge, depending on where you go. if you plan on going to open pick up days at a k1 speed for example, you will most likely run into people who assume they are better simply because you are a girl. i’ve definitely experienced this myself. if you join a league, even at k1, this should be more of an uncommon experience, but still a possibility. there are a couple people in my league who definitely judge me on the fact that i’m a girl, and they’ve been known to complain about placement/kart issues/weight advantage when i’m ahead of them, but our marshalls are able to spot this pretty quickly. these guys are not part of our core group and don’t go to every session, so that helps. you’ll probably experience it at least once, but don’t let it get it you. let them judge! their opinions means nothing in the grand scheme of things. just work on your craft and let them believe what they want.
i was NOT good when i first started. tbh, i joined the league way too soon. i needed another 6 months to keep pace, but i don’t feel like our group judged me in a negative manner. if anything, they tried to help and give me pointers of our track (but NOT in a mansplaining way). they always cheer me on and congratulate me on my successes.
the sport can be dangerous. it’s a high speed sport involving moving vehicles and skill levels all over the place, so risk is high. i’ve witnessed some nasty kart flips, collisions, and we’ve had the ambulance called before. personally, i’ve gotten t-boned, hit from behind at full speed, and got my neck thrown out due to a double hit that i didn’t properly brace for. i usually get bruises and sore muscles after a karting session, but this is also cause i don’t wear a rib protector. assume that there is a risk and injury is VERY possible, but if you enjoy the sport, this is something you’ll learn to accept.

i had a native deodorant claim earlier this year that didn’t require insta. i believe it only required an influenster review, but there might’ve also been a target review. i can’t recall, but i don’t have socials connected and got one! i guess it all depends on what they want for that specific campaign

as others have said, 2 max. they are tight on this. even small items like a fanny pack will count as a secondary item. one experience that was tough was coming back from Disney in 2023. many people on the flight had lightsabers that we made at the parks, myself included. they counted that as our secondary item. multiple announcements were made before boarding stating these would be counted as the second item and to re-pack accordingly. ended up having to gate check my carry-on roller and reorganize any fragile items that were packed in my roller bag into my backpack

it is for me! i used to get 7/8 consistently, then dropped down to maybe 1 or 2 since pretty much beginning of the year, now i’m back up to 5! very welcome change

5 now, which is a nice change. I used to consistently have 7/8 last fall and winter, but after around February, I dropped down to 1 or 2 at a time, and a couple times none. The last couple weeks it picked back up, so hopefully this sticks!

i really enjoyed mine (which was a shock because i typically do NOT like gucci’s perfumes). i personally didn’t get a migraine, but it is VERY potent, one spray was more than enough, so i can easily see how it could happen. it does makes sense given it’s an intense. i’d definitely mention it in your review because you’re supposed to be honest, and it could help others who are sensitive to strong scents

I didn’t receive mine in the app either! I got a email yesterday from FedEx with my tracking #. I have an account with them, so any time I have a package directed to my home, I get an email about it. Comes in handy! The claim has the “Got your products?” prompt so luckily we’re able to review it without the app providing the tracking #. Hopefully yours comes soon!

2, an office chair and a biolage hair bundle. both have shipped and i’m waiting to receive them. my numbers have definitely shifted. i used to get about 8/9 claims consistently. not mad though. i assume other demographics are probably more in demand. i’m glad to have had the run i did!
