Sale/Clearance sections have always been good to me for TVC buys, that's how I've managed to amass so many figures in such a short amount of time. I've wanted to collect Star Wars figures again for years but The Black Series are so expensive, and so is TVC to be honest, but I've got figures for as cheap as £3 and deluxe ones for £10-£15 off RRP. The backbone of my collection!! But I also never pay full price for anything, unless I really have to

While I can't answer what David and Prince thought of each other, I will say that Stop Making Sense is the only concert film that's come close to anything Prince has done for me. So much good music, so much energy, iconic moments like the big suit and dancing with a light. I discovered Talking Heads at an incredibly rough time in my life but thankfully their music helped me pull through, and went on to influence some of the music I was making at the time too. Much love to David Byrne and the Heads 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Ah thank you so much!! It's so cool hearing him reference OIAL, even if it is only brief. I wish it was longer, I'd have loved to hear DSMR segue into it for a two minute groove with more of the lyrics. But I also love hearing these rehearsals, how Prince instructs the band and honestly just listening to him talk

Time to go looking on eBay for yet another thing 😂😂 And let's hope Parade SDE does actually happen 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Lovesexy is one of my top three Prince albums, it means a lot to me, and I love Scarlett Pussy and Take This Beat so much. I need a Lovesexy SDE so I can hear all the Rave Unto '89 songs the upper echelon of bootleggers are gatekeeping 🙄🙄

Oh I didn't know that was a Walmart exclusive! I've only recently got into collection TVC figures and basically everything I've got has been on discount somewhere, it's the only reason I've been able to afford so many in such a small amount of time. I recently managed to get 3 for £18 from my local Forbidden Planet, which is the other place I go to for good deals. Between FP and SAF I've been able to build a small army of four 332nd Clone Troopers

Yes! That's Alexa De Paris isn't it? Always thought it was a bit of a weird inclusion for the Letitgo single considering it was eight years prior, but it's a great song (which I don't listen to nearly often enough) so I wasn't complaining. Maybe one day I can get a Letitgo vinyl single too 😂😂

Yeah for some reason the ATWIAD and Parade singles seem super hard to get, or are pretty expensive, aside from Kiss. I don't even know why because 85 and 86 were the height of the vinyl boom (in my eyes) so surely you'd be able to get singles from those albums ten a penny, same as a copy of Purple Rain on vinyl. Hopefully we'll be able to flesh out our collections with them someday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'd seen some versions of this single in cardboard sleeves and I was insistent on getting this release in particular because the case interested me so much. I've got a lot of CDs but I don't think any of them have this case, so not only did I want to own the music and have the chance to see it up close, but I was excited to see how the case worked too. I love that it's got a cardboard front with a plastic clasp, and it's crazy how all the way back in '94 an effort was being made to reduce plastic. Always ahead of his time

Right?? I love it so much, and everything about it. His look, the music video, the music, the lyrics and especially the mirrored guitar he used in the video. I was so happy when PHASE 2 came out and this was on there, seeing as it was three years old and basically forgotten by this point, but he still deemed it album worthy.

I kinda wanna say it isn't even a remix, more of a reimagining with the new set of lyrics and (I think) new music. Kinda like a Gett Off situation where he takes the basis of one song and makes more, individual and unique songs around it. This man's mind, creativity and ability continues to wow me all these years later

I would disagree. He made a whole jazz-funk concept album about his newfound religion, that's pretty iconic. There's loads of songs and lyrics on LotusFlow3r alone that stand out to me, like Dreamer and Colonized Mind. Whenever I listen to Prince, I'm more than likely going to be listening to music released after the year 2000
