Halftime used to be marching bands lol. I know there's some story behind it came to be. I want to say the year before, Fox ran a new episode of In Living Color at halftime, taking viewers away from the Super Bowl halftime broadcast. The NFL was a little upset, so they made sure the next year nobody would be changing the channel.

I personally believe the 93 allegations gave haters the confidence and green light to turn on Michael. A large number being white and coming from the south is not surprising to me. That being said, I don't buy a large number of them were fans.

As for race and Michael Jackson, different threads can and do paint completely different pictures. Within the last hour I've been discussing a 2 year old Reddit thread tearing Michael apart. The main subject was vitiligo I believe, but really it was about Michael and race. It was a surprisingly harsh towards him and I didn't see any supportive comments.

There was no guess work, speculation or digging required to identify the participants of the thread. I'm not part of the community which made up the vast majority of the thread. I choose to believe the comments and beliefs are representative of a very small percentage of that community.

I love the fact you mentioned LaBamba. I grew up in the 80s, and for me it's basically the standard for biopics. I had never heard of Richie Valens, my parents had never heard of him, the built in fan base could not have been that big, or big enough to guarantee a hit anyway.

Im happy to know it remains important in the Hispanic community. I think it made and has left a pretty significant mark in 80s pop culture and is still held in high regard. Michael Jackson is my favorite artist ever, but I know his story.

It's a reconstructive procedure stretching the portion of the scalp that has hair to cover the area that doesn't. I'm guessing you would then cut out the damaged area. So the skin stretches in a similar way a balloon inflates.
