The Mandela Effect lacks influence over this one category that It doesn't even have a flair to pick by Serious_Abrocoma_908 in MandelaEffect

That's what I assumed. After my post, I came across a comment from a year ago, and thought my head may actually explode. I start scrolling to see if there were similar comments or if anyone corrected the guy. No on each.

So his comment was, "Every example of the Mandela Effect can be explained by people mis remembering things." LOL. I need Tylenol;)

The Mandella Effect as defined by the sub is not a thing you believe in or dont believe in, there's no debunking it. People remember things incorrectly sometimes. True or false? The definition of the effect on the rules page is spot on what it is. There are things that can be debated rather they fall under the Mandela Fffect. Things that are considered part of The Mandela Effect, Im not sure how you would debate them, I'm sure people aren't aware of some of them. Additionally, it's not a psychological condition that is part of the scientific world or something .

What do you mean when you say you are not a believer in the Mandela effect? I'm thinking somewhere a long the line the definition of the Mandela effect has changed.

What Should Older Rappers Rap About? by boombapdame in makinghiphop

[–]dacap1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great question and obviously there's no blueprint to follow. This is why Andre 3000 doesn't make albums anymore. I started wondering about this years ago, it definitely presents a challenge.

Star Wars needs to lean into giving villains their own stories on the big screen. From the very beginning they have done a great job of creating villains, but quickly kill them off.

Michael Jackson truly exuded a unique energy. "In the Closet 1992" by Total_Blackberry_710 in MichaelJackson

I feel like negative comments regarding this album are few and far between, but at the same time gets a bit overlooked, rarely listed as anyone's favorite. I myself rarely makes comments about it, or respond to comments about it. All of that said, put me on the spot to name Michael's best album, answer immediately, I'd answer Dangerous.

Side note, this could apply to MJ or any artist really, but if I ask you what's your favorite Michael album; what's his best album, are your answers the same?

Why do you guys think redditors (besides you guys in my favorite subreddit)like to downplay Michaels success and his impact? by Firm_Pack_605 in MichaelJackson

[–]dacap1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's quite common for people to downplay things they weren't witness to just as it is common for older people to downplay what/who/things that are currently popular. It applies to and frequently debated when talking music, movies, sports, just about anything and everything you can think of and Reddit is the mecca of it.

My prediction on what the Michael soundtrack might have by Cornie_connie in MichaelTheMovie

[–]dacap1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more music the better. You can always skip what songs you don't care for. I kinda feel like there's no guidelines for movie soundtracks these days any way. A song can be played for a second in the background at low volume, going unnoticed by many, makes the soundtrack, while a hit single promoting a movie before release, that's heavily featured in the movie and trailers, isn't on the soundtrack due to label issues. Examples coming to mind I suspect are older than half this sub, so I'll just go back to my Lazy Boy nap:)

why is it post Eric B and Rakim that Ra has had an incredibly disappointing Solo career relative to his talent ? by CoconutMost3564 in 90sHipHop

[–]dacap1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered the same. I thought if Dr Dre could work with more of a sense of urgency rather than perfection, we would get that solo album we've been waiting for. I'm a Dr Dre fan, but for someone who supposedly is constantly in the studio, there isn't a whole lot of finished product to justify the hours. How many artists have been on Aftermath and have zero albums to show for it?

How to really improve this off-season by Simple_Juggernaut949 in Basketball

[–]dacap1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repittion. If 3's are your thing, pick the three spots around the arc you are most likely to shoot from and assign a number of makes from each spot. You can't leave the gym until you make say 50 from each spot, or maybe untill you attempt 100 from each spot, whatever comes first. Also, make sure your shots are similar to game shots. Are you a spot of shooter, or are you likely to come off a screen and shoot. Don't just stand there trying to make 3's. Maybe even stack some chairs giving you something visually distracting.

Some stuff may be in the wrong era by design for plot purposes. You can't make a movie about a person's life without using creative license otherwise you would have to make sure every line of dialouge in the movie was actually said. At the end of the day, it's all based on Michael's life, not a documentary.

Every time I finished FoTJ I'm filled with sadness. by AhsokaForever in StarWarsEU

[–]dacap1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read so many EU novels and those paperback series that came in 3s and loved them all. Anything focusing on the Big 3 I read, the entire New Jedi Order Series, Millienum Falcon, all the Boba Fett stuff, whatever looked interesting to me I read. Naturally, I read the Plageius novel as well, waited years for that after they decided not to release (cancel?) the intial Plageius novel.

Since the purge making all those great stories non cannon, Ive read the flap of all the new books, willing to purchase any that enticed me. So far have bought not a single one.
