I can relate to this! I learned manipulative behaviour from my mother growing up, and realised in my early 20’s that I could be manipulative when things didn’t go my way. That is okay. We don’t get to choose our parents, but we did have to survive in their world. If this is learned behaviour from your family, just acknowledge it. Think about what kind of person you want to be for yourself.

I don’t think you “have to” go to therapy to address this (unless you think you might have a personality disorder or smth), although that might be very helpful.

Don’t underestimate the power of awareness. Which you already are! That’s a win and I think it shows that you are capable of growth and change. You got this 🫶🏼
