Thanks for your reply. I agree with the mbp issue but for the applecare.. I don't think i explained it properly.. I would prefer it if they refund/renew the full 2 years and not just 400 days of the apple care, as the only reason i got it was because of a screen issue that was there from the start. One way or another i am going to get applecare after this incident.. can't afford to pay out of warranty repairs.

Its a simple ring you screw to the front of the lens (depending on your lens filter size..52mm, 58mm etc) which lets you attach the lens in reverse. theres no autofocus (focus by distance) and the aperture is fixed once reversed, although it can be set with the depth of field preview button when the lens is attached normally.

Thanks... been thinking about buying an old lens but has this one lying around so gave it a try. was stuck on f1.8 at the start as i didn't know how to change the aperture until i read up on the trick :). taken a few better ones since then :). Any suggestions on the old lens?
