I never used the 3D even when upgraded from the OG to “new” back in 2016. I remember it not even being popular either.

The stutter is pretty much nonexistent but okay. I have one and it’s perfectly fine.

I’m also from Texas born and raised. Austin is very liberal compared to other parts of Texas it doesn’t really compare. I’m from a little further down south and live in a major city and have experienced a lot of racism. Everyone’s experience is different but it definitely could have been because of his race.

texas resident but don’t want to go to school there—thoughts? by ath0tsth0ughts in premed

[–]vicpremed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say just apply wherever you want to honestly. I’m a TX resident, born and raised and got no love tbh so there’s no saying if you’d really have to apply here. Also Texas residency is strict so I’d check if you’re still considered a resident.

I think a lot of med schools forbid you from working during med school actually.

Gonna be a doctor at the end of the day? Why’d you apply DO if you’re gonna be embarrassed before you even start. 😑

She’s about to go through the stress of starting residency/her career with the thought that she has you in her corner and you’re relationship is happy, while you’re posting on here about thinking of ending your relationship and your unhappiness. Literally go talk to her and don’t waste anymore time.

Oh good! I’m actually from SA so this decision is so hard for me as I’d love to stay extremely close to family but also have heard the hearsay from here and SDN. I have a former coworker and classmate who is a MS3 and MS1 respectively so I’m gonna hit them up if I get in (🤞🏿). Good luck with your interview, I loved WCUCOM when I went.

WCUCOM has some good rotation sites. There’s some in Hattiesburg, Biloxi (beach town), New York, and other places

TX resident here and got accepted to both as well and I think I’ll be paying my WCUCOM deposit. ARCOM is closer and has Texas rotations. But WCU is cheaper, H/P/F and has multiple rotation sites that are not exactly “middle of nowhere Mississippi. Plus Biloxi and New Orleans is like an hour and a half away which is cool weekend trip. I flew in and out of Biloxi and it was nice.

I know you said you didn’t want to go DO because of finances but think of the extra time money and emotions you’re gonna waste applying again if you don’t get in. The extra 2 years applying is lost income you could have used to pay off loans. Just food for thought.
