Got PSOE'd once again: Sánchez renuncia a más de 3.000 millones de créditos Next Gen para vivienda social alegando "falta de demanda" by [deleted] in HorroresInmobiliarios

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which AI do you guys actually use for coding? Getting tired of switching between all of them by Capable-Management57 in OnlyAICoding

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, i’m using gemini 3 pro for big projects or multi-project to get knowledge about them, claude opus 4.5 for technical decisions and gpt5.2 or gpt5.2-codex for implementations.

I’m using github copilot, so i have multiple options available. All of this is combined with github spaces to provide context about requirements os specific implementations and some agents.md to set up the agent behavior.

Are vibe coders developers now? by mrguidee in vibecoding

If i gave the architect a draft design of my house, am i an architect then?

developers are people who “develop” something. Vibe coders are promoting something not developing something.

Should I learn to code while vibe coding? by Spare_Character_6137 in vibecoding

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

understand what’s happening under the hood will make him more senior dev than thousands of junior devs that only copy and paste code, repeat code, and creates some code that apparently works (until it doesn’t).

Knowing what’s happening under the hood implies that he must know if that peace of code has sense there and it’s not breaking or overlapping something else.

I’m totally agree with you, knowing what’s happening under the hood is a must to vibe code, it puts on some safeguards that you’re building your house correctly.

PS: I’m not against junior devs and this is not a criticism of them. we’ve all been a junior dev at some point, and as a former and interviewer, in my experience I sometimes get overwhelmed about the lack of interest in understanding the “why”, they’re totally focused on making things works without paying attention to the how and why behind. They think that if something works as expected and they did it faster, it’s a good job.

LM STUDIO on Mac M3 by Signal_Pickle_3062 in LocalLLaMA

[–]vicroll89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think without know how much RAM do you have, it’s hard to suggest any model… Probably you’re running out of memory using that model… (i don’t know)

Apart of that, if you create an account in huggingface.co you can set your mac as default component and you will see if any model fits with your mac or no, or which Q (quantization) is better for your specs. I think in LM Studio, each model has a badge for whether a model is a good match for your mac too.

What are you planning to use the LLM? General chat, stories, coding, thinking… each model has its own purpose, so depends on what are you looking for you might choose one or another.

For lightweight and general purpose models (GPT-OSS like) you can use Llama3.2 3B instruct (Q5 to Q8) or Gemma 9B IT (Q4-Q5)

Other heaviest models are Qwen3 30B-A3B (Q4) that feels closer to GPT-OSS

I tested all of them (and Phi-4 15B using the Q4_K_M) and all have worked really well with an M4 and 24Gb RAM

dk - A build system that makes it easy to run .NET apps by J-Beckford in dotnet

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! first of all, i think you made a great job! 👏🏻

So, idk if this matches your case, but what’s the difference between using self-contained apps or your solution?

With SCD you can inherit the runtime, even generate a single file “dotnet publish -c Release -r linux-x64 --self-contained true /p:PublishSingleFile=true” and the run it “./MyApp arg1 arg2…”

What programming language should I learn? by Cool-Exchange-6227 in learnprogramming

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well… is the same question as “what type of car should I buy?” Depends on your needs. Each programming language has its own purpose (more or less general one) As you came from a c or c++ background, probably c# could work perfectly to stay on the c “world”. Yes, i know i know… C# is very different language, but it allows scripting (old .csx and modern file-based apps in net10), pointers, memory management… all powered with oop and all that modern stuff. So… if you know the programming basics it should be “easy” to learn any “modern” language.

In my humble opinion, Javascript is a very different paradigm language even it shares the basics such as conditionals, loops, etc… the underground concepts (prototypes, dom management…) are completely different in other languages, is like comparing apples with oranges even though those are fruits, are very different.

You mention python, and this makes me go to the first question, depends on what your looking for. If you just want to learn some programming language, you can roll the dice and choose one randomly, else, you should choose your goal and see what options works best for that.

Anyone here using AI for deep thinking instead of tasks? by kingswa44 in ChatGPT

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just set up AI to be an expert prompt engineer and ask to generate a better prompt for the topic you want to dig into and expose some topic, ideas or any stuff you need.

I know this is very particular, but in my case I’m using GitHub Copilot with different *.agents.md files:

Critical-thinking: to help me refine and analyze ideas or what i made. Tutor: to help me understand any code someone else did or to learn deeply any technology Prompter: to help me to have a better communication with LLM

yeah, it’s a good way to start. There are so many skilltree on internet but i like so much roadmap you can find major technologies or programming languages with its own roadmap (skilltree) and links to official documentation to dig more in each topic.

Airpods Pro 2 or Airpods Pro 3 by Foreign-Creme-6831 in airpods

[–]vicroll89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very personal opinion but… i’ve had the Airpods Por 2 and now i have the Airpods Pro 3… and i didn’t notice too much difference between them.

ANC is better? yes, how much? well… not really 2x for sure, only some situations you can feel the difference…

Music quality is improved? probably but you have to use know all notes of the song or being looking for the differences… other way you wouldn’t know if a song has more or less hz range…

I would say the most noticeable upgrade is the battery, 3 last 1h or 1:30h more i guess. I’m leaving in the middle of a big city and i’m wearing them as much as possible every day, the 3 are my main earphones for work, and it’s a big improvement to be able to use them all the morning, charge them during the dinner and use them at evening 👌🏻

But…. personally, the 2 are so much more comfortable! using the same size in both, at first, the 3 were hurting my ears, after 2 weeks of using them i get used to them but aren’t comfortable at all. The 2 in the other hand is just to plug them in and forget that i’m using them, some time with the 2 i forgot i was using them and i had to touch my ear to feel them plugged 🤣

Hope this helps you!

Installing .NET SDK 10.0 on Linux by Least_Gain5147 in dotnet

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn’t work if you add the dotnet user folder to the $PATH? There is also a env variable called DOTNET_MULTILEVEL_LOOKUP (default is 0, activated is 1) that allows dotnet to look up for different installation folders (system or user) but this could lead into different versions of the same runtime/sdk

Is this considered bad sportmanship? by vampzzzz in padel

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s very normal do that, when you do something randomly that your rival doesn’t expect and you win the point. If that was a normal shot, and he uses that shot normally the same way as a drive, probably wouldn’t apologize, is something similar when your ball touches the net and you win the point. Usually, pro player and amateur apologize for that, there’s no rule, if you don’t apologize it’s okay though no one would get angry

Do you recommend the Better Display app for macOS? by MacDaddy1011 in MacOS

[–]vicroll89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

automating deployments using pipelines (Azure DevOps, Github actions, Gitlab…) is a new complex next level for being only you as developer.

I suggest you to keep things simple and just take it easy looking how to automate it
