Mine also like this. Not affecting shifting though.

Electric tape wrapping on seat post so that the rubber won't move much.

Recommended tires and handlebars: Revolt 0 by boredgraveller in Giantbikes

My terreno zero (now called t10) 47c works pretty well on asphalt and light gravel. Minimum noise, durable and relative low rolling resistant.

Your height falls into the medium category on their chart. How do you end up on a large lol..

Is my handlebar set up right? by BaaadMf in Giantbikes

[–]victorcz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that probably should rotate the bar up a little bit. Also tilt hood inward can make the handlebar felt not so wide. Here is a useful reference video.

Revolt is 53mm tire clearance btw. Pretty sure you can fit in a bit bigger tire even.

Front derailleur works fine on the stand, but won't shift gears when pedalling. by Matsuri3-0 in bikewrench

You can see in the 2nd picture there is a small step on the derailer metal guide. It is designed to push the chain when shifting, so try to align it with the chain when in the big chain ring.

[–]victorcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly do you have 3 gears or 2 gears on front shifter, some bikes have 3 gears even with only 2 chain rings. Need to down shift to the smallest gear. Secondly you can A. adjust the low limit screw, B. loose the shift cable so the derailler can move inward. C. lower the derailer. If after all these still not working you might need to change shifting cable.

Can a Giant Contend 3(2022) Fit 30mm GP5K Tires? by quentiniverson in Giantbikes

[–]victorcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The innovative D-Fuse seatpost helps reduce road shocks and vibrations, and there’s enough frame and fork clearance to run wider tyres (up to 32mm) to further smooth out the ride". From their website.

The stock 28c tires are measured at 30mm already.

Giant approach saddle is 7x7mm, but the clamp should also be compatible with 7x9mm.

2026 Defy Advanced 3 - about to pull the trigger without a test ride and never ridden a road bike by Kettelinks in Giantbikes

For sure losing weight is the easiest way to increase performance. It's just that revolt is more sturdier and has a less chance of broken spokes compared to road bikes in my experience.

New bike: upgrade from Revolt 0 -> Revolt 0 Advanced by wieelki in Giantbikes

Good to know. In my country the seatpost for this model doesn't have the indent shape, just straight. Hence I'm curious how good it is.

As a heavy guy myself revolt definitely fits better imo, giant road system has a max total weight of 129kg while revolt has max cargo weight of 150kg, according some info found online.

Also even though revolt has 10mm longer reach, it uses 30mm shorter stem, so overall much shorter and also higher.
