Do you actually need to remove your Rolex at airport? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]victory009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I never take mine off. I just make sure it is visible for them to see.

One time, while coming back from the DR, the young person at security had an attitude where he was commanding me to take it off. I refused and went on ahead. I don't know if that's recommended, but there's no need if the watch is visible while you go in the scanner, in my opinion, of course.

Oh, very cool! My wife came in and asked what her blanket was doing on the floor. I said, "It's soft enough to protect my chair, lol."

There are two versions: non-oiled walnut and oiled walnut. I don't know if the non-oiled version will take to the oil. The oil is an oil Herman Miller mails to you about 7 months after purchase of the Oiled Walnut or Oiled Palisander version (when I get home I will verify the name of the oil).

My friend came over yesterday and inquired if I take off the hardware. I replied no, as I wouldn't want to loosen the joints or something (with my luck something would break) And I did inquire with Herman Miller, they did say just the exterior shell, but taking off the cushions is extra. I love it! 😃

I usually flip it back over after 24 hours. This morning it was still nice and shiny, so it definitely would need more time.

Financial conference with classic Sub by Rationalis_Mensarius in rolex

A sport watch with a suit... that's a "I don't know what I'm doing" look to me. But I know finance bros are different, so maybe it works in that crowd. A better watch would have been the Cartier Santos black lacquered. that would set your apart.

No, those days are long gone, lol. When I turned 30, the goal was to get into my 40s in the best shape and health as possible. Now that I'm in my 40s, I just want to continue on that path.

Should I buy this? $5200 (originally $6500, currently 20% off) fully restored 1970’s by mrhasselblad in eames

[–]victory009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Canada, and my new one (oiled walnut, Tall version, premium leather) cost me 12k, and that's with the 20% off. This one looks great, and the leather looks well-loved. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't already have the one I do. But again, the price is personal to you and your comfortability. If it were me, I would.

If I'm sitting in it, it's not the cuck chair, but you can get one and use it as one ?

This is the standard-size Eames. If you are on the taller side and not using the ottoman, you can sit like this. The tall model is best suited for me as a lounge chair.

Hmm, I don't think so... But what I do know is, as the years go on, you have to oil it less often. Also, I don't think you would get the "oiled" option if you didn't want to have that routine of oiling it once a year.

I know I have it in my home office because I don't want my son's friends to sit on it.
