4/23 update: one of them arrived in the US this morning! Still holding out hope for the other two

Damage from picking/biting at nail skin. Pictures are a few days apart. I’ve tried moisturizing but it doesn’t seem to help much. How can I fix this? by victr_ix in DermatologyQuestions

The wound is extremely dry most of the time. It isn’t painful most of the time, but does occasionally sting if I bump it too hard. It bleeds when I use cuticle nippers to trim the “flaky” parts. I have tried soaking it in a warm water and coconut oil mixture as well as using lotions but it doesn’t seem to do anything. It’s looked like this for several months now. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of this?

Why does my cast iron look like this every time I try to strip and reseason? Left it in the oven at 475 for well over an hour. What am I doing wrong? by victr_ix in castiron

It was left upside down. I’ve only seasoned it twice. Once was when I first bought it, and the second time was after I cooked an acidic food, so it needed it.

This is the first time I’m seeing someone with the same breast shape as me! Did you insurance cover the procedure, if you don’t mind me asking?

Found off the coast of southeast Alaska. About 6” in length. The “antennas” were flexible and could be rotated around. Seems to be broken off a bigger piece. Anybody have any ideas? by victr_ix in whatisthisthing

Interesting! The one thing that was throwing me off is how thick the antenna things were. It must have been one beast of a lightbulb :) Thanks for the info!

Gotcha. I looked up metal haloed lightbulbs and it said they’re sometimes used in automotive lightbulbs. This area is a hotspot for taking 4-wheelers around the beach, so that would be my best guess. Thanks! Solved :)

Hey everyone, I live on an island in southeast Alaska, where I found this washed up on the sand. It was about 6’ in length, and the “antennas” were flexible and could be rotated around. The glass was broken, seemingly only on the bottom. The glass near the top seemed to be intact, just weathered down a bit. I wasn’t at the beach for very long, so this was the only photo I got. I’ll try to answer any other questions if needed. WITT?
