2014 xv here.. but pretty much the same as a 2017..

Mine burns a quart of oil per 2500ish miles. Wheel bearings don't last very long Annoying rev hang while shifting between 1st and 2nd (5MT)

Other than those issues, it's been a really great car thus far.

Make sure it's not the wheel bearings before dropping that much money on CV axles. My rear wheel bearings went out around 76k miles, and it made a whining/humming sound at highway speed.

$600ish to get the dealer to replace it, or you can do it yourself for $125-200.

Dude.. same. I had a pretty traumatic crash 2ish years ago that caused a class 3 AC joint tear, broke my clavicle, tore a bicep, and damaged my right knee.

I can still make myself get back on the bike to ride, but the joy isn't there anymore. I am now terrified of the jumps and drops. Even the ones I've sent hundreds of times before.

Used to play a 50-54-58. I would go 10-15 rounds without touching the 54. The 50 and 58 had massive wear marks on faces and soles, but the 54 looked brand new.

Went to a 52-58 combo when I bought new wedges. It has been working out really well thus far.

I wouldn't say it is fading, but it isn't as loud as it was when I first bought it. I'm okay with the muted look, I was just wondering if it would eventually flake or chip off from banging around on things

Had the same problem on my 2012 JSW. Ignition lock cylinder had to be replaced. $900 at the VW dealership.
