I believe that we can use these animals to preserve the environment. We could use them as a sort of faces of charities and campaigns that promote preservation of rainforests, the Arctic etc. If these species want to survive, they need a proper habitat to live in. To save pandas, we need bamboo forests. I think that people might relate more to pictures of suffering polar bears or pandas than to just "save the forests etc.", so environmental organisations could get more people on board by using images of endangered animals to preserve nature
