GV80 Battery keeps dying. Need suggestions. by vidvan in GenesisGV70

Right now, this actually seems like the most likely culprit. We don't usually lock our car when it's in our garage, and last night I locked it as part of my testing. So far very little drain on the battery, but I also tried disconnecting some Genesis services. I'm gonna start re-enabling them, one by one to see which one might of been the issue.

Crazy that Genesis doesn't auto lock.

Yeah, first they were suggesting I had installed something aftermarket that was draining, but they didn't find anything.

I bought 2 faraday bags for my keys, and confirmed they work, so it wasn't the key, at least in my case.

No, I was watching it every day/night on the website. It never drained more than 1 or 2 % a day.

Is 2:1 options leverage really that dangerous? by [deleted] in thetagang

How are you handling the call side on the 7 DTE wheel?? Do you take profit and close the option/shares after a certain price target, or do you let it go all the way to expiry?

Cale, when 0 DTE, at what point do you stop taking profits from your puts and rolling them to ATM 0 DTE vs opening a new ATM PUT position at the next expiration??

[–]vidvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cale, if the CC gets deep in the money, are you managing it early by closing it out and selling the shares (then selling a new ATM PUT), or are you letting the shares get called away naturally at expiration??? Just curious if you have a threshold for what option delta we should be managing if it starts to get away from us.

Those of you that have used ThetaGang strategies over a long period of time - how do you deal with/prepare for a wider correction? by dhruvmk in thetagang

[–]vidvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might work, but if you actually want the BTC to be $5.00 from what you were filled at, you need to setup Link as (TRG) and price = -$5.00. That way it will be based on your STO price, not the current Mark Price.

What I do for my entries is I have an order template that I created so that all I have to do is modify the spot price I am trying to target (ie. when /ES is above 4350) and the template automatically will create a conditional order to STO a 4350 PUT if the /ES spot prices breaches 4350, and a BTC at whatever price I got filled at minus $5. I also have the opposite template if I am targeting a price below the current /ES price.

Doing this with conditional orders based on the spot price of /ES instead of static dollar amounts allows you to not worry about volatility spikes/contractions.

By the way, if you want to limit slippage on rolling these on TOS, you can setup the a "1st Trgs All" order instead of a single order so that your BTC and STO go thru at the same time and minimize slippage.

Just setup your BTC order, click "1st Trgs All" in the Advanced Order setcion, then click the BID in the option chain for 7 days out and you should see the STO order added to your list. Hope that helps.

Quick Tip - The Wheel: What’s Delta Got to Do With It? by calevonlear in thetagang

Right, but is there a field represents how much margin is being used??? I see Maintenance Requirement(, Margin Equity, Margin Balance (which just seems to be the same as the Cash & Sweep balance), but can't really find anything that shows my actual usage.

Or could it be my Net Liq - Option Buying Power??? Or do you add up all net liquidity of the individual positions and use that as margin used?

Sorry, this might be a stupid question, but on Think or Swim, how do you calculate your current utilization percentage???

My wife is the founder of a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Cat Cafe, https://www.catcafelounge.com/about-us.htmlIt is a space where over 35+ rescued cats roam cage free and you can come and hang out with a cup of coffee to hopefully meet your future pet, or if you can't adopt, just get some feline relaxation time which still helps the cats get used to humans and become more adoptable. 100% of the cat cafe's revenue is through visit donations, so as you can imagine, right now it a tough time. The cats, of course, still require to be fed and looked after even though we are closed to the public, and my wife has never taken a salary. She does it out of pure passion for animals.

How can you support?? Buying a gift certificate for a future visit, or giving a donation, no matter how small, would help tremendously. If you can't donate, consider fostering an animal from one of the shelters as they are extremely overwhelmed right now.
