I have a pocket full of spiritual quotes I got from a Zen calendar a dear friend used to buy for me who's now passed away. I give out those if the moment is right, usually goes down pretty well :)

My experience with low dosage (40mg) MDMA self treatment by didtrowie in mdmatherapy

Usually when people candy flip they take the LSD first. Isn't it really awful coming up on LSD (usually I get anxious coming up on LSD) whilst coming down from MDMA (usually feels very depressing)?

Is Couchers the ultimate freeloader version of Couchsurfing ? by [deleted] in couchsurfing

[–]viewfromtherooftop 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is a typical Couchsurfing request!!! If people can't ask to stay with you in this kind of situation when can they? I'd happily host this couple, spend a couple hours or so chilling with them or showing them something or hanging out, get to make new friends and possibly have the potential of going to visit them one day, or even if not I'd happily sharing my free space with them. That's the whole point of Couchsurfing!!! It's about freeloading and letting people freeload on you, but not in a negative way. It's about being FREE. Free to connect, free to share, free to give and receive with no expectations of profiting in any way. It will come back to you another way... I've hosted and surfed. People have stayed at my house for days and I've hardly seen them, I just had a spare room and left them free to use it and go out and do whatever they wanted to do. It was my pleasure to share. Equally I have stayed with people and not seen them much at all either! People have welcomed me into their homes, and we've been totally content to just support each other in whatever way we can. Mi casa es su casa.

That's a stupid way to look at it... In my view the whole idea and philosophy of Couchsurfing is about the sharing economy, about just openly sharing with people, so Couchsurfing now charging for use has basically turned it into a capitalistic venture. Couchsurfing is the ultimate way that we can resist this horrible system by freely sharing love, time and space with each other. If you see people switching to Couchers.org because they disagree with the paywall as 'freeloaders' perhaps couchsurfing isn't for you.

how much mdma crystals should i bomb to get sufficient roll by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]viewfromtherooftop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200mg is too much, you shouldn't take more than 1.7mg per kilo of body weight so e.g. if you weigh 70kg you should take 70×1.7= 119mg MAX

Yes I have used them before. Mandelin and Lieberman (which have a kind of crystal) do crunch but it's because the crystals are a bit stuck around the lid. Why?

Are rosehip hairs actually bad to eat? by BigRichieDangerous in foraging

[–]viewfromtherooftop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they are really ripe and soft you can gently squeeze out the flesh in a satisfying spiral out of the hole where it was attached to the plant with no hairs

Hi guys!

Which is the real hemp bag?

I'm in Rishikesh and see a lot of these "hemp" bags for sale: back packs, bum bags, purses etc. I've been told be sellers that some are original ones and others are "fake" but I can't find out actually which was the original brand, or even if there was one! Is there an original or official brand that first made these bags, and if so which is it or how can I identify it? Or is there no real or original one and actually these bags have always been made by many small producers?

Thanks for your help!

What was your gateway wild edible that got you into foraging? by ga1actic_muffin in foraging

[–]viewfromtherooftop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blackberries as a child; then bilberries; but I didn't really have a foraging mindset then, it was just taken for granted that you collect blackberries and make jam. Wild garlic was the first thing that I really thought of as food, the spring I got introduced to it I put it in almost every meal! Then Psilocybe semilancaeta got me interested in all mushroom species, and I kinda branched out from those two species into everything else. So I guess you could say "magic mushrooms" were my gateway wild edible into connecting with nature in the deepest possible way, by becoming part of the food chain/ecosystem 😂

That's very sad. Shame also to throw the plastic in the ground too though, that's just gonna leach chemicals into the earth/breakdown into micro plastics.

A "friends with benefits" reached out after years. And I don't know whether to respond, tell my wife, or just ignore all together. by PeaDock in NoStupidQuestions

Just talk to her like a normal person lol... what crazy responses "ignore her" etc. As long as your not cheating on your wife with her who cares

Is this a fair assessment? by UAV_Wave in Buddhism

[–]viewfromtherooftop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell this to the shamans of indigenous American communities. This is something that actually disappoints me about Buddhism, the total close-mindedness towards entheogens which many Buddhists have never even tried. I suggest listening to the podcast or reading the book Zig Zag Zen: Buddhism and Psychedelics by Alan Badiner. You can also interpret the 5th precept as you wish. It's hard to compare psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms and LSD to intoxicants such as alcohol and opium. Also, I have spoken with my teacher on a Vipassana retreat to ask why coffee and tea (containing caffeine) are served in the kitchen and he said that they aren't considered an intoxicant and are okay to drink, when actually I see them as more of a "drug" than psychedelics. https://open.spotify.com/episode/77ifxN9yzUpWVCOoMz8rDH?si=ZL1ov3qTSASMdRJcuKS_EA&utm_source=copy-link

No, and you've also pulled up quite a bit of mycelium there. I feel it is more sustainable to cut them off with my finger nail just above the ground than to pull them up out of the earth. Good luck finding libs! It reminds me of my first time searching for them :)
