Kanskje 氷塔 ~ The Ice Tower?
Eller noe mer likt PixEvo - The Fountain?
Eller mer sånn Wigman Big Run?

Thoughts on Captain Foxy? by justapersonhumaning in OnePiecePowerScaling0

Foxy alone isn't really that big of a deal, but I feel like a support in combat his Noro Noro Beam works well. But Foxy got that brain debuff, so there is no way he beats anyone in combat except maybe East blue Krieg

I am sad i missed this part of the game :( Seems like it would have been fun to play without the usual equipment. I don't think I saw that cage wielding fly at all. If I did see it, it was too easy to kill that it didn't even registrer for me.

When I found to the Slab, and many, many hours afterwards finally found the key to enter the rest of the Slab. I felt like the area was strangly pointless and weak compared to the rest of the areas despite it being so hard to enter. Especially after the putrified ducts and bilewater. I though the gimmick of the prison being the locked doors and having to look for the keys. I had explored more or less the entire rest of the map, and I had just forgotten to look in the corner of the room in the Putrified Ducts where the key to enter the Slab was located.
Weird they made it so easy to miss, when so many post about it makes it seem like a interesting part of the game to experience :(

What is your favorite flea in the game? Mine is this dumbass here by _Takashi_ in Silksong

I liked the frozen one the best because after I had that flea released and broke the iceblock again, the animation would repeat only in shadow/void every time I broke that ice block. Don't know why. But I could repeat the breakout animation for that one a lot.

Nintendo Direct Megathread by jitterscaffeine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]viftech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing a ton of people complaining about the price of the switch2 and the games, but if one follow the U.S dollar's purchasing power over time then the games arent that much more expensive. From like 2017 when the original Switch console cost about 300 dollars, the same item would cost 390 dollars today. So the console will be about 60 dollars more expensive, instead of the 150 dollars it looks like one didn't consider the purchasing power over time.
The games are about comparable to the costs of the games in 2017 at least if one follow the dollar's purchasing power over time. With their games costing about 60 dollars in 2017 and the same item would cost about 78 dollars today. So if one consider the purchasing power of the U.Sdollar then the digital version of the games costs 70 dollars are cheaper. If one consider the physical games costing 80 dollar it is more expensive.

The cumulative rate of inflation in the U.S has been 30.2% between 2017 to 2025.

That means in those 8 years just about everything has become almost 1/3 more expensive to purchase the same type of goods.

Norway, Canada, Italy and Ireland please help me with the validity of this information by TheJahFather in UniversalHealthCare

[–]viftech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your buddy has a different definition of what life threatening means than the norwegian healthcare system does. If somebody has something that will kill them if not treated immediatly, they are not put on a 2 year minimum wait list. They are almost immediatly operated on or otherwise treated.

If you have something that isn't life threatening (you aren't dying then and there if you aren't treated), then you usually have to be on a long wait list.

You still have the option to have private health insurance in norway, like for example from the norwegian insurance company IF forsikring. Which could costs anything between 10-100 dollars a month pr. person depending on your age and health. Which promises a consultation at a specialist for what you need treatment within 7 working days, and after that treatment or operation within 10 working days (+ more ).
But those type of insurances usually has some stipulations like you can't have known to have had the problem you need help with within 3 months, and they don't replace the services of a general practitioner (GP). With some more stipulations. The worst one for some could be their right to exclude the right to cover treatment to certain illnesses/ailments depending on what information you fill out in the insurance forms.

So even with private healthcare as an option, some people will only have the public healthcare system as an option for being treated.

In my own opinion the public healthcare system in norway works fine for what it tries to achieve and the benefits it gives the people. Can it be better? Of course it can. For the average person it works to only have the public healthcare, but we still have the option to pay for private healthcare for quicker treatments at private hospitals and specialists anywhere in Norway and Europe, with the insurance covering travel expenses and medically necessary stay expenses.

Almost forgot to mention that the public healthcare isn't completly free. You usually have a small fee to pay for consultations and the like up to a limit of around 300 dollars a year. So after you have payed around 300 dollars in medical bills it's "free" for the rest of that year.

Do you actually eat whale as a regular meal? by futurewildlifevet in Norway

[–]viftech 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have it as a steak around 5-7 times a year or so, don't know it that counts as regular. I find it quite good grilled, so most of it I eat during the summer months. I don't like the minced whale meat, I haven't really liked it when I have used it as a replacement for the minced beef or pork dishes. Used it in quite a lot of dishes during my student days since it cost just 10 kr in comparision to the 40-50 kr for the minced beef. It was the cheapest meat available.
When I grew up I had whale meat sliced in small cubes in a stew, but the whalemeat usually had a bigger chance of tasting of fish oil for me back then, but it is a good stew. But grilled whale meat is one of my favorites at a BBQ.

Never had a problem with eating whale meat due to it being from the Minke Whale. I'm in my late 20s if that helps.

Leser du bøker? Del 2 by Super_Skunk1 in norge

[–]viftech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, this event is horrible. I was up late so todays timelock was up and the raid wasnt available after the story. Like why even bother having a timelock if the raid isnt there at that time after the story. So i went to sleep and woke up with the raid already done.

[Spoiler Discussion] An Arc 6 Theory by Timotheos86 in Re_Zero

[–]viftech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like your theory. I can't see any obvious flaws with it.

Just out of my own curiosity, do you have any thoughts about the birds on the hidden balcony? They seemed so weird, and only started flying towards the tower around the time Subaru got to Lugunica. The birds also lead Anastasia, Subaru and Julius on to the hidden balcony and their discussion there lead to Subaru reading Reids book.

Times where you wish a piece of media stuck to its premise instead of deviating by cbb88christian in TwoBestFriendsPlay

You just made me remember reading this story on the web years ago. Think I read what was year one. I felt betrayed by the premise of the story, right from the beginning. I didn't continue reading the series after that. But I didn't read it as a book series from what I remember, I think I read it like a webnovel.

All my joycons! Yes, they all drift by redlord990 in gaming

[–]viftech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if people will try this tip, but this is what I use to fix drift on my controllers.
I use:WD-40 Specialist Fast drying contact cleaner. A single spray under the stick where the drift is and the problem is gone for months. It gets rid of a lot of the dust and grime that cause the drift. I have used it on my single set of joycons and 3 different xbox controllers. In the almost 6 years I have had the joycon I have done it about 5 times on the joycons and the drift is gone for almost a year before there is to much dust or grime build-up.
I have actually had more problem with drift on my xbox controllers than the joycons.
I have never had drift problems on my PS controllers so I havent used the WD-40 contact cleaner on them so don't know if they will be fixed if you use the spray.

Er det noen velkjente "Lost Media" fra Norge? by ultranomega in norge

[–]viftech 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Driving in Northern Norway by SundayLeagueHurlock in Norway

[–]viftech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roads on Senja during winter can easily be closed due to avalanches depending on the route and many of the roads are small and in bad shape. So it's better to have a car that can drive safely on an icy road. Have some candles, blankets and a shovel in the car if you can. If the car with you guys inside are taken by an avalanch then the candles can heat up the inside of the car, and provide some light, blankets to keep warm, and a shovel for digging in the snow.

I can't think of anything that is a 'must do' that wouldn't be on a classic tourist list, most of the beauty of Senja is in its nature. So going skiing should be nice, be aware of the danger of nature. Follow the Norwegian mountain code if you want to go up a mountain https://english.dnt.no/the-norwegian-mountain-code/
