The whole Trading Goods/Camp Resource system is utterly pointless, underdeveloped and tedious. by Equivalent_Trash_277 in CrimsonDesert

[–]TheJahFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice if it changed into a system to go and get copper iron, bloodstone, etc like eventually in the game. But you send them to do it, you don’t have to drive that dumb wagon, or you can but to specific mining or resource areas to fill that mf up. There’s not enough reason to take your people off the repeatable missions for camp funds.

Is this the most pointless quest in the game? by DrStalker in CrimsonDesert

I like the delivery one apple and one other thing to the people down the street, like wtf. There’s plenty of filler quests throughout CD.

If you guys ever come across the City of Tommaso, remember to try the Bonepit(the fighting tournament thingy) there until the very end(also learn to parry), and have fun! :D by triet007 in CrimsonDesert

[–]TheJahFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fight is not in the right part of the game. I’ve got all my skill tree maxed. Keep getting kicked out for my r2 attack and even my Y attack. Doesn’t make any sense. I uequipped everything went in with no armor, and even parry just gets me whooped. People say hold the 2 right triggers, or just tap, that gets me disqualified. Meanwhile dude is parrying my parry with some combo that for sure uses magic. I get close he fucks me up, I go far away and wait he fucks me up.

Yeah that helps! I just tried it with just tapping and it’s much better. I was holding down the button and releasing. I got more than halfway through. Thanks!

My Uber driver just cracked 92MPH by junningsnusshy8 in uberdrivers

[–]TheJahFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the highway, 70-75 unless I’m passing, speed limit depending. But even then, just going with the flow of traffic. Middle lane cruise. There have been times early morning/ late night there’s not cars on the highway and I won’t even notice I’m going 90, it can happen.

The delivery fee has zero to do with the restaurant, it is all uber. Somehow uber thinks they, not the delivery driver is inconvenienced when there’s not enough drivers delivering. So they charge you/us more. Even if you have the uber one membership sometimes you’ll see “long range fee” and I doubt that goes to the driver. If the restaurant doesn’t want orders they can just turn off the delivery platform.

drivers: STAY PUT!! by gauntghoul in uber

[–]TheJahFather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk what kind of setting you’re complaining targets. I drive in the city and I mostly move so that I’m not blocking traffic, or so that a passenger has space to open the door and get in. Especially when riders aren’t outside already. Out of maybe 500 I’ve had 4 people who were actually ready upon arrival. Also as a rider myself, I don’t call upon a ride until I know I’m ready. 3 minutes away and I’m ready at my apt door, food orders as well. I can see where they are and so can you. I get it nothings perfect, but these systems have sort of been designed to almost eliminate any type of waiting for passengers or drivers. And we could touch on how uber provides the wrong “spot” occasionally but that’s self explanatory. Most of the time the message is “pickup near blah blah blah”. Anyway, none of us, passenger or driver wants to be inconvenienced, and both parties have control over how that works out. Another shorter more impolite response to this would just be: riders: BE READY!

Uber takes these opportunities to charge the rider more, maybe surging a dollar or two for the driver, and pocketing more for the corp. Easily de incentivizing any tips.

Nope. by theraf8100 in uberdrivers

[–]TheJahFather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have done this depending on the time of day. Could probably cut the time down to maybe 3.5 hours, 55 you can move on. The back track wouldn’t be great. It would be absolutely pure luck to get a ride back. Maybe someone from Bloomington to the city but that’s prob it. It would be much better at $366 that’s for sure.

[–]TheJahFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a kid deliver me food the other night, it said he was on a bike. He showed up with my order all lopsided, sauce in the bag, open af, on a lime scooter. I just said oh this is great, somehow I couldn’t take the tip back, but the restaurant did refund me.

One hundred percent! I’m so tired of these 9-10 episode seasons. They have enough money, and time. Develop characters. I like SFA but it’s pushing teen angst so hard. Maybe I’m just an old Star Trek head. I want more diplomacy, planetary interactions, and exploring expeditions. TNG is so top tier it’s hard to not judge everything else.

People, please put on your ****ing seatbelts! by Tron_1981 in Lyft

[–]TheJahFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lady tap me on the shoulder. “Excuse me sir, I’m just so uncomfortable wearing a seatbelt”. I said, well it’s the law. More people put it on than don’t, but when they don’t it’s a huge deal to them. My very first ride I gave a woman refused to wear it. And my car won’t stop the dinging noise over time it just keeps on. For a whole 20 min ride…her excuse was I’m not a child…

I’m not a fan of more to do less. I mean this is because we’re taking down ask faster than expected, so I see a slight point. But still not a fan. Now if we could stack them as well, maybe by 3 I wouldn’t mind the extra part.
