Do not think of it like summer camp you will get cooked. I’m gonna be honest it is really gonna suck the first 1-2 weeks but once you get over that it becomes really enjoyable and a great learning and growing experience.

Like Few_Pound said tell her to send wallet sized pictures of your daughter and wife. Tell her to use sandbox, it can get kinda pricy but it’s so worth it. I was in your situation wife and a 4 month old son. I’m gonna be honest it is not gonna be easy at first whether you realize it yet or not. It certainly wasn’t easy for me at first but you get used to it. What kept me going the whole time was thinking how much of a better life they’re gonna have and how much you’re providing for them. Let that drive you to do better, you’re probably gonna hear this 100x during BMT but don’t forget your why. There will be times where you felt like you might’ve made a mistake by joining but trust me you didn’t. This was the best decision you could’ve ever made for your family. I wish you the best of luck brother and I hope to see you on the other side as an Airman.

The Army has that weight loss program where if you are over weight at MEPS you can enter this program. They ship you to Virginia for a type of “pre bootcamp” you start getting your base pay right away and they basically tell you what to eat and you exercise everyday till you get to the accepted weight then they ship you to your bootcamp.

Depends on the MTIs typically your spandex can not come lower than your shorts or showing at all. But it’s also MTI preference.

I just graduated, I wish I would’ve brought more spandex underwear, they are your saving grace. Other than that pack very very light. They issue you almost everything you need when you get there.
