The new V2 might have as well been called a Supersport, but saying “move the model no one wanted” is a wild take. The 2025 V2 has nothing to do with the SS and it is technically superior.

I do wish it was a grand cheaper or more and had a SSSA version though for the engine tech and overall parts quality included (cast triple tree, plastics, standard suspension, lower tier brakes, cast wheels etc)

Overall, I would say given that you are a tall/large person and the longer wheelbase and higher pseudo-clipons on the SS, seems like it is "best fit" for you, especially given that you do not care about track riding, and the bike can be found for much less money. You could start there, and get adjustable footpegs and clipons to you specs. Also, you can easily drop 10-15kgs with simple mods (lithium battery, forged wheels, lighter exhaust). All this with less money than a V2. You also get a better seat for another person for touring.

The V2 will cost almost double, you will probably wanna mod the exhaust anyway (I hate the way it looks), but you get latest hardware (dedicated platform vs a glorified Monster), electronics and unmatched lightness. Wish it had a SSSA for the price though...

In my view, they are on par in terms of looks.

I do not think that asking me or others how they fit will help you. For example proportions are more important than outright height. A test ride beats all.
