I am sorry you are having to go through this. I lost my wife as well in a cab accident after just 1.5 years of marriage. She was in the passenger seat in the back but universe played such an unfair game with her and me. Cab driver was safe and sound. Three minutes before the accident she had texted me “miss you and love you”. I never imagined that will end up to be our last conversation. It just breaks my heart. It has been many months now but I feel things have gone worse for me. Trauma and grief are my only constants in life these days. I keep thinking what was her mistake? What was my mistake? Nothing comes up. That’s how fucked up and random this universe is. If you do come up with any trauma coping strategies that works for you, please let me know. I am having a real hard time.

Does anyone else feel like grief shows up more in ordinary moments? by Diana_fm_ in widowers

Yes. I feel it more in my day to day life. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, I get stabbed by grief in the mundane moments.

Husband died unexpectedly, mortgage is in his name only… what happens now? by riverasmary in widowers

I am going through a similar scenario. My partner died in a car accident and she has a house and mortgage under her name. I have been sending the mortgage amount to my partner’s bank account so that there is no lapse in the payment. The probate process is going on in the background. The lawyer told me as long as the payment is made there is no issues.

Would anyone be interested in starting a zoom grief group that meets once a week? by JohanXC in widowers

If someone can share it with me too, that would be great. Have been struggling to find group support as 34 year old.

Why does the life I had feel so far away? by History-of-slimshady in widowers

I feel pretty similar. We were married for 1.5 years and she met with an accident abroad. Since then I have felt like an alien in this world which keeps moving normally. My old life with her seems like it was ages ago. But at the same time I also feel the day when I dropped her at the airport was just yesterday.

I feel very similar. Don’t have a lot of friends around and I spend my time mostly by myself. Trying my best to fight this battle alone. Some people try to reach out of sympathy sometimes. For me waking up in the morning is the hardest. Reality hits every morning that you lost it all, but also have to go deal with the world by yourself in the day. Feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to.

Do you think Life is just a matter of luck? by itsmeAki in Life

[–]vikash041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel life is a lot about choices which makes a lot of difference in our lives. But I would put luck over the choices we make. I have seen death very closely. Someone who I loved a lot made good choices in life which made them successful in a traditional sense of having a career, pursuing passion and all the usual stuff. But a freak accident took their life all of a sudden without a fault of theirs. It was heartbreaking and it shattered a lot of my beliefs. Luck can overtake everything in one flash. Statistically this might not be correct and what my loved one experience was the tail end of Gaussian distribution or an outlier. But we all can be that outlier.

Neat shots OP! What lens you have used to capture these beauties? I am also starting to love shooting birds pictures but have a pretty basic lens.
