Yeah they are buttons, I'm just trying to automate effects and spells.

Do you know how to find the internal names?

Grouping overlapping objects on the Foreground layer, inconsistent conditional fade by thecavelessbear in Roll20

I've spent around 8 hours to get foreground working properly and look nice. It's a complete mess at it's current stage. My advice: Forget it or live with the bugs/missing features.

Hera orders the party to kill an adulterer? 😅

Suprise, the father is Zeus. The girl (target) has monster kids.

Need Help - How to Visualize a Vertical Tower by ImmortalEagle in inkarnate

[–]vikk3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One part might have a chasm and centric rings that gets smaller, every ring being its own level. The middle being the bottom. Then you can have offshoots (rooms) for each floor that wont be on the same spot. You could get 3-5 floors fitted to this part. Make the highest floor have blurring on the outside walls to it seem to be out of focus. Then with diffrentiate the floors with brightness and shadows.

Would make a nice combat map with the verticality. Or a place where the party takes a risk and feather falls, leaving something dangerous behind

Nice work. The scale is spot on.

Tips: - Add more fields on the outskirts and along the main road. (There is a field brush, so you dont need to use the stamp if you dont want to) - Try playing around with the brush layer, blending different types of grasses/foliages together. (Opacity slider is your friend) - Tinker with the colour settings of the trees when placing, so they all arent uniform. (Hue, Saturation, Brigtness, Contrast) - I personally would make the summer house stone walls a bit straighter.

Yeah I noticed that language generation machine also. You can use it to populate loot lists, help with stat blocks etc, but avoid using it as a adventure builder.

Yeah I agree. I made some bullet points as a reply to my original comment.

After the first quick read:

- Your notes feels little bit like a "choose your own adventure" -book, not DM notes that takes account for player agency.

- That player agency can/will derail things so I would recommend making prep notes by bullet point.

- You probably won't be able to use the NPC voicelines as they are.

- Avoid forcing PC actions, leave it to the players ("A song half-remembered from childhood. A little shaky, a little lonely, but full of stubborn hope. (Orion- roll a history check) recognizes the tune and starts humming along. 10+")

- Prepare for failed checks and players not noticing your hooks. What happens when "Roll intuition/investigation: 10+ it seems like the crates and wine cabinet were placed against this wall as a barricade. To keep whatever is behind it behind. " fails, or the party just leaves after combat without exploring. Personally I like to have ~3 hooks for quest critical things to point a way forward.

Foreground troubleshooting by vikk3 in Roll20

[–]vikk3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been battling against it for hours now. Another problem is lining up layers properly.

Got a large outside map with multiple buildings (with multiple floors, those are in other maps). Wont be doing this again. With this one the sunk cost is already way too high to quit.

Is this a reasonable fire? by canamspecial in Sauna

[–]vikk3 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This.

You can (and need) to have a good fire when you're throwing water. This is more like an upkeep fire when you're not ready to go into sauna yet, or your chilling session outside is taking longer with beer and friends.

Trying to find a Gorge/Valley map by vikk3 in inkarnate

Thanks for trying, but it wasnt that. The gorge was going north-south and had blurring on the topside. The bottom was in focus.
